The speakers were unbelievably big, clean, clear sounding with incredible clean tight bass. How that sound came from those small drivers is beyond me. Moderately priced, it sounded bigger, cleaner, clearer and more engaging than the $100k plus systems. I joked with the guy that if I looked behind the banner I would find a row of sub woofers. He invited me to look. I didnt hear all types of music on this set up, but I feel with the ribbon tweeter it would handle most things well. They seemed to play a lot of heavy rock, I think to demonstrate the versatility of the system and change the idea.of what this speaker is capable of. I think all they managed was to reinforce the belief. (In me at least) Even more interesting, if you read the threads on The Melbourne hifi show, you'll see that there was a decent consensus that the Audionote room was one of the best sounds. So it was good to get to listen to them. They are actually not a bad speaker, I was surprised. I wonder how they would compare to the refurbished pair I saw a member here post about. Next I'll put up a couple of tracks I couldn't find, I reckon they are on quboz. And then I hope to share my playlist with you I created of all the good tracks. So I have screen shotted all the great music I heard at the show. There is a wide variety of genres and a lot of tracks I had not heard before.
