Coming up through the 80 & 90's singer John Waite was always on the airways in one form or another.     The Babys were huge and even now Bad English often gets a spin, if I want some classic pop rock.

I recently found a discography of John Waite and have been reliving my youth.     The first 3 Babys albums still hold up very well for the genre.   Doing some research, I found that in late 2022 a doco on Waite had been put out.   I managed to find it via the Pirate ship.

I watched it yesterday and it was terrific.    Really down to earth, warts and all interviews.    50 years in the music business is really quite something.     The doco was mostly filmed during Covid lockdowns.   The lockdowns obviously had a bad effect on Waite (as it did for everyone) and you can see him battling with a life that nolonger had performing in it.     Heartbreaking to see him getting more and more depressed.

Elsewhere in the doco, the snippets of him performing in Ringo's band is pretty pure.

Well worth a look for any music fans.
