Thats a good question. The impedance is an indicator of how hard the headphone pushes back on the amp. The 250ohm is a high impedance. The 600ohm is extraordinary high.

 

With a solid state headamp with low output impedance and high current drive a lower impedance headphone matches. Go for the 250ohm.

 

The 600ohm would be a great fit for a tube amp without a transformer "OTL". If you suspect you might want to DIY a tube OTL  amp down the track the 600ohm would fit. But it might sound  bit quiet on some solid state amps.

Hi 

Does that mean the 32ohm version would be even easier to drive as it says its for portable players 

And any thoughts on the Beyerdynamic DT880

I have a pair of focal elegia at present but just looking at something different to play with
