this is how the back of the Rotel RB-1582 Poweramp looks like.

its a 2 channel 200Watts poweramp.

i jus connected 4 runs of speaker cable out from it to each of the 4 passive subs.

each output has one run of speaker cable...so four outputs, four speaker cable..

as u can see, there is a "Left" n "Right" input to the poweramp.

my Onkyo 3100 has 2 subwoofer pre out's, so i pre out 1 to "Left" channel input, n the other pre out to the "Right" channel input.

as simple as that.

 

Yesterday, Sunday Afternoon, i went down to "Daiso" to get Solid Styrofoam Cubes to raise up my subs, so the vibration is not felt on the floor....

it did wonders!

these cubes are quite big square blocks..

i bought 16 pieces!!

4 for each sub.

that came up to a total cost of $32 for 16 pieces of blocks!!

almost the cost of 1 sub itself!! hehehehe!!

but i am very glad i did it!

see the attached picture below to see how these square blocks look like.

it really gets rid of the floor rumbling effect well!

i will be spray painting these square blocks to semi-gloss black soon...

jus to match well with the overall black theme...

My 15" Hsu ULS MKII Subwoofer, sitting pretty on my dining table.. hehehehe!!!

you should be doing the subwoofer crawl too...but I'm guessing these 4 new subs won't go that low... get REW going too and a SPL meter / mic to see how the room is coping.

Yup, it doesn't go low at all, but got that hard thumping sound that I like..

No more low frequency trapped in my store room area as before, due to my hall layout..

I play the DTSX Demo disc that I have, n played back that scene that bro Peng, said the sandbag thump can be felt. (A million ways to die n the west, comedy movie)

She threw the sandbag at the loser guy..

I got that pleasing thump in the chest sound..
