Thank you for the info re- bugs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86PvgGy4LeQ

Bugs on my ceiling
Crowded the floor
Standing, sitting, kneeling...
A few block the door
And now the question's:
Do i kill them?
Become their friend?
Do i eat them?
Raw or well done?
Do i trick them?
I don't think they're that dumb
Do i join them?
Looks like that's the one

My new favourite nozzle. Fast, responsive, great PRAT. I have tried lots of others, but this is da bomb. Only $10.99 at the big green shop.

I picked that nozzle up when I was getting a new one for The Goddess last week. It was the first one I put down, thinking that it would never be any good.

Good to see my judgement was as useless as usual. I might try it next time.

I have one. The valve lever gets very stiff. Needs greasing.

Mine is still smooth, but I use it every day. Will monitor it's behaviour.

We're still talking about the hose attachment right?

Thanks for the great feedback on the Pope handspray, ill be sure to pass it on to my colleague

There is another one out on the market this season made specifically for delicate watering, only does soft shower but its a beautiful shower. Could possibly find a way to give away one or two if anyone is interested?

Happy i could help out. Glad to see they worked for you and you went and bought a few more

Also looking at doing this for Mums garden in similar numbers

Neighbour has now ordered 25 of these for her roses after seeing what we have done.

Better crank up the production line, R&R. Narre Warren North consumption will stretch those sales figures!

Gotta love the warm weather, the garden is going off, my Tiger Grass hedge has new shoots..err..shooting up everywhere and I spray weeds twice a week, haha.

Roses are very quiet though...plenty of shoots but no flower buds anywhere.

That surprises. roses looking the best for 5 years here. Partly the feeding I did but also the water and warmer weather has suited.

Oh, I have fed etc. Sounds great mate.

Did you remember to p*iss on them during winter? Too late to do it now if you let the job slip when it needed to be done.

A valid point.

Umm, one would assume any that are around the eastern side corner of the front patio would have definitley received such treatment through the winter months, though as the night progressed it would have been quite a clear version of aforementioned p%ss. Not sure if that would count.

Monteiths Dopplebock Winter Ale is 6%.

The foxy ***** was also on a steep learning curve, her kennel is just beyond the previously described temporary star gazing point/urinal and she occasionally trotted out in enthusiastic fashion thinking I may have come out the screen door with something yummy for her to eat. Woops, look out!!

Why is it that the fittings on assembled hoses are so dreadful, even with the good quality hoses? I bought a reasonable hose the other day for a particular application and found that the fittings leaked even when I swapped them onto the gravity fed rainwater tank!

Normally I like to change all my hoses and all my hose fitting in the one go as otherwise you seem to be doing one every second week, but this time I just had a particular size I was after.

I had standardised on Hozelock hoses and reels and the yellow Hozelock hose fittings and they never leak. Until The Goddess drives over them, anyway. Because she did not retract a self retracting reel. But I love her anyway.

In honour of the assistance that R&R has given me with Toro fittings I have now decided to keep the yellow fittings for mains pressure hoses and fit orange Pope fittings to all my dripper and sprinkler lines. That makes sense because most of my garden tap risers now have two taps, one for a mains hose and one for a polypipe system of some description.

Anyway, the rubbish green fittings on the fitted hose were replaced with Pope fittings and voila, no leaks. Why bother to make crap fittings that can be only be a fly's d*ick less in cost?

Another thing I found out years ago is to never use the black polypipe hose fittings with polypipe. Sounds silly, doesn't it? The black ones all have only 2 claws to grip the tap fitting. Proper hose fittings have 3 claws. Guess which ones always leak? Get a Hozelock or Gardena one. Or even better, to make R&R happy, a Pope one.

how good is this spring, lovely sun drenched warm days interpaced with a good soak as we are having today.

in the ten years we've had this garden have never seen it like this,

the grape vines we have in the back yard look burgeoning with impending grapes like never seen before ! infact to the point am wondering if the wires/cables have the vines running on are strong enough whether have to beef them up !

and the two lilacs we have in the front are just full of blossoms everywhere !
