i almost ordered one last night, but after reading about the possibility of an elite version, I pulled back. Another one I am watch is the Narudo Landa X02P. Seems interesting.

I do hope the x7 elite screen goes a little bigger like 5.3".

If I keep telling my friend of different model every week that I asked him to get for me, he will get fed up. LOL

i was tempted by only the battery life of the iOcean X7 haha.. my heart still prefers other CPUs like snapdragon :P

Bro, it will never end.  New phones with better specs are coming in thick and fast practically every week! :o  You will always be playing the waiting game ;D

True,  new models are coming out practically every week and they don't always deliver on their scheduled deadline. Better to target a model and get it first. After a few months if something else interest u then sell it off and get a newer model still cheaper than being tied to local telco contract phone

It really depends on what you want. If just itchy hand use as backup, buy a cheap one to play.

If you want to replace your day-to-day phone, still need one which is good enough with no lag, good sensitive screen etc. Even if price so cheap, but user experience no good, what's the use.

No phone is perfect!  I have played with IOS, Windows and now Android and each has it's fair share of hiccups!  To me, the most important requirement is a portable phone with a 5" FHD screen!  Good battery life that can last 2 days!  Good touch sensitive screen and user interface and lastly, must be good looking and stand out ;D  Hey, I m describing my Oppo 5! ;D

True that there is no perfect phone but I am looking at something with 2GB ram, 1080p screen, long battery life and 13MP camera. (Qualcomm CPU will be bonus :D:D)

Looking at AnTuTu benchmark result, the iOcean X7 is not scoring a lot higher than my Galaxy S2 that's why I am still holding my bullets for the upcoming batches of phones.  Narudo Landa X02p certainly seems attractive especially the 4k mAH battery.

Wa...this thread is hot stuff man! I was away for 1 week, and i have another 20 or  so pages to catch up on! Way to go!

Think the bottlenet with china phones now is still the cpu. All of them are using the mediatek chip which is not exactly a tier 1 processor despite being quad core. So regardless of whatever phones coming out now as long as they r using the mediatek chip performance would not differ too much. If only rockchip can come out with a version of their 3188 quad core for phones the performance would definitely be better

Hi Francis, I had been following up on this thread for sometime. Currently I am in Changchun and decide to get the Oppo Find 5. Paid Rmb2700 includes free backup battery/charger and screen protector. The choice of phones available is bewildering and I would not have been able to decide if not for this thread. Thanks and I hope to meet up with you and the forum guys sometime. :)

Cheers

I paid 3000rmb just 2 months back....

Thanks bro.

My usage is lower than yours...I can live with the current firmware unless a requirement to upgrade.

Would love to join your kopi sessions if i'm in town on a Sat...hehe

Be patient and you will be rewarded! :)

My Oppo was fully charged yesterday at 12 pm.  Now at 8 pm, it shows 53%.  Think it will go all the way to maybe 6 pm tomorrow! .......very good! ;D
