Does this means that the sale applies to more than just the titles on the website ? I'm really after Let there be blood and Ironman. Is each store marking titles differently? Has anyone been to the Midland or Perth store (WA)

There Will Be Blood is definitely part of the sale. Fairly certain Iron Man is not.

has anyone checked the 3 for 2 stock at Perth (City) JB yet?

JB Hi Fi in Joondalup got them so I am sure the city store would also be running the sale.

Bought Mr & Mrs Smith, Dark City and Blood Diamond

Had a look at JB Brisbane CBD.

Just put up the sale signs and sticker on the BDs.

Only stickered BD were in the offer, the cheapest BD is the one you get free.

I found that some of prices cheaper than the online store.

Was tempted to pick up 3 Dirty Harry BD. Brisbane store $30.99 vs online store $36.99. With the B2G1F that would work out to $20 a disk. Why don't they have Dirty Harry & Dead Pool in Australia?

Pirates wasn't as cheap as in January.

No rush, sale on until April.

Can someone confirm whether Taken is the uncut version like the UK ?

Good news, bad news (well at least for me).

Went and hired Taken on Blu-Ray today and it is exactly the same as the UK uncut version which is taken from a French source (hence the making of on the disc in French). However exactly like the UK version it doesn't have hardcoded subs for the French speaking parts like the Theatrical release did.

Strangely though Foxtel HD is airing Taken in HD and it included the subs for the French parts. Not a deal breaker for me but I'll keep my UK one and check out the US one when it comes out.

Old titles, should not necessarily carry a cheaper price tag. Restoration of old classics makes it worth paying the premium.

Restoration or remastering and HD transfer of the older titles was already done, in most cases, for DVD release. Sony Pictures' entire catalogue got remastered in HD a decade ago.

New releases this week such as Serenity and Futurama also would not have the Sticker. Damn...

Ah well, I won't buy Serenity now then. I'm not paying $40 for it, sorry Universal. Put it out at a reasonable price and I'm sold.

It's probably excluded from the JB deal because it's a "guaranteed fanboy buy" title.

Dark Knight has been included because all the fanboys have been thoroughly gouged by now

The 'escalator-less' store in Bourke St...

They got rid of the escalators? They were there the other week!

Seems DTV should be accessed by JB staff.

It is by some of them, I know that for a fact.

Serenity was only $34.99 in JB today same with Pitch Black and Chronicles of Riddick.

"Only" $35?

Reality check please.

I paid $12 for the (double disc "special edition") DVD less than six months after the movie was in cinemas.

d'oh! shows how forgetful I get of older movies (notwithstanding it's a classic)!!!!! yeah...that one wasn't stickered in the Bourke St store...

And let me say that Casino is well worth a double dip as the PQ on BD is fantastic but yeah Casino Royale was $30 i think and was part of the B2G1F deal at JB.

Cheers Ryan

Why don't they have Dirty Harry & Dead Pool in Australia?

Really unsure about that. I picked up Dirty Harry from Amazon before the AUD died, so I got it around $25 landed. The only other one I think is worth getting on BD would be Magnum Force which was pretty good too. The others I will just stick with the DVDs. I thought the stories got a bit weaker as they went on.

Didnt say i would pay that. I dont pay over $30 for any title and in most cases only 15-25. You cant compare BD and DVD pricing though mate. DVD's were just as expensive for the first few years of inception which has been discussed may times before.
