Finally my 9 years kid bought the PS2 console from Mustafa.

 

Now I would like you to recommend any top 5 PS2 racing games (both car and motorcycle) for him. The games should be simple to play for 9 years kid and should have excellent graphics.

 

I would value your recommendations very much....

Think if given a choice between PS2 and the old X-Box , I also will buy the PS2 ...so slim and small as compared to the old X-Box bulky size ....but game wise the old X-Box is cheaper than those PS2 games ....

i'm not sure if Burnout is available on PS2 or not but it's an EXCELLENT racing game, imo. the whole objective is to make your opponents crash and burn and the concept of mayhem and annihilation would appeal to any 9 year old kid  ;D

 

not sure what your kid is into...

 

for racing games there are two main groups... Real world physics or otherwise.. real world means the physics is based on science and you can crash ur car and skid if you don comply to reality

 

Real World games

the best racing game on ps2 is grand turismo 4... which is a greatest hits edition ie you don pay more than 39 bucks for it

 

grand turismo 3 is still good and you can port your saved games over to 4... its a realistic racer and you can develop your skills and car collection... Need for Speed and Midnight Club series are also worth a look at

 

for rally racing nothing beats colin mcrae

for offroad dirt bike racing.. check out ATV Offroad Fury 4

 

 

Offworld physics

for fun animated racing try out Simpons Hit and Run, Crash Nitro Kart or even the recent Cars

for crashing, Innocent has highlight Burnout 3: Takedown.. a classic
