Dali speakers

Featured Replies

Hello!, I am new here, has anyone heard of the brand of speakers named "Dali"., from denmark, I think?.

Are they reliable?., and worth buying?

You can audition them at a shop in SLS... level 3 i think. Cannot remember the name of the shop. The same shop which sells unison research.

In Sim Lim Square, right in front of the main lift on level 3.

Farle Enterprise Pte Ltd

1 Rochor Canal Rd., #03-75, Sim Lim Square,

Singapore 188504

Tel : (65) 338-1555

Fax : (65) 334-4062

Reasonable SQ. Not bad bass with lotsa potential.

Just that such brands don't get much coverage from british hi-fi mags, so locally not so popular with the magazine readin' group.

Unfortunately, the shop which sells this seems to be less hi-fi oriented with more emphasis place on car audio.

I think this brand of speakers is still using paper cone ... over time the cone may erode with our humidity surrounding.

That's because in SG we are getting the "ikan bilis" models. :) Ask if they bring in any of the higher-end models (check Dali's website). Those are definitely no push-overs. Scarly do price comparison and they may be 'value-for-money' after all!

I guess you are mentioning about foam surrounds.....

Have heard 2 of their models before (Can't remember which ones) but sound wise, it was rather impressive (I still hate the logo) but it was not a A-B comparison, so no reference as to how it really compares to other brands. I was just there to enjoy the music anyway....

The shop is having 20% discount for Dali speakers ... advertised on Satursday news paper .... interested guys may go and check them out ....

saw this thread here on Dali Speakers... there's a seller in Singnet classified which had been advertised, with changes in price for almost a month..

The recent posting #64350 3rd January 2003, Dali Speakers AXS3000 for $220.00, the advertisement started a month ago, asking for $300...

Just curious, I am not interested in buying the speakers. Are these Danish speakers good?., or why this person finds it hard to sell them?.

I'm guessing that the brand is just not popular enough over here :)

Nope, just no local exposure, no 5 stars in UK rags, no class A/B rec in Stereophile. Unlike Unison Research. Same dealer.

Not poplular does not mean that thay are not good right?., maybe the distributor is not promoting it?!

one .. er.. good thing is that .. if you happen to like them, then wait for the distributor to 'give up' on the brand and then you buy from them cheap cheap ;D ;D If you have opportunity to listen to different setup, and if you are interested yourself, go out there and listen listen listen...

I am interested in the speakers, what caught my attention was this guy as I had mentioned, is desperately trying to sell off these speakers for a month already, and the price had been reduced drastically..........
