lancer181 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 Hi Looking at buying a turntable from Japan , anyone know of contacts over there that will buy for you , mainly looking for a one only person rather than a company like " buyee ". Any help would be appreciated . cheers Lance
JPete9 Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 kuboten Craig is a very reliable person. (sshh dont tell anyone, its a secret) 1
Luc Posted March 12, 2018 Posted March 12, 2018 @lancer181 You've done a search here for threads on this subject, yeah? There are quite a few... @Rob181 might be able to advise you. HiFiDo is pretty safe too
PKay Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 @Hensahelped me on my way. @BATMAQNis now the beneficiary of that transaction. Some of the Japanese gear is fastidiously maintained.
Guest Hensa Posted March 13, 2018 Posted March 13, 2018 I use the Noppin service (rather than a single person) and have never had an issue so far on about a dozen imports. More important is identifying the right sellers (on Yahoo Japan) as this is your responsibility rather than that of the buying service. I will only purchase from certain sellers that have received positive references through various audio forums. Consistently, the items (including turntables) have been excellently packed and arrived exactly as per the photos and descriptions. I have also purchased through HiFi Do on several occasions and while a little more expensive they are tremendously reliable.
lancer181 Posted March 15, 2018 Author Posted March 15, 2018 Thanks for the reply on place to check out , I have signed up with Noppin and Kuboten hope this works out. cheers Lance
Orthy Posted March 19, 2018 Posted March 19, 2018 Used to use zenmarket.jp, one of those proxies. All's fine, no failures, etc. Everything is reliably packed, nothing broken, especially a turntable...
