erest Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 (edited) Item: KEF Baily transmission line speaker pairLocation: Keysborough VIC 3173Price: $450 Firm. No postage. Item Condition: ExcellentReason for selling: Too many speakersPayment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD OnlyExtra Info: Very nice pair of Baily transmission line speakers. All drivers are in excellent condition, and sound right. Crossovers recapped, as original caps were way out of tolerance. Castors fitted, as these are large and heavy speakers to move around. Similar sound to KEf Concertos, as the crossovers are the same, and all drivers are the same. Despite the large box, the bass is not overblown. Cabinets in great condition for age. Local pickup only. Sizes: 455W x 430D x 1010H, and would weigh about 30Kgs each. Pictures: Edited September 30, 2017 by erest 2

Zaphod Beeblebrox Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Outstanding buying. They look to be in excellent condition, with late model drivers used. I kept mine for more than a decade. Beautiful, clean, low bass performance, balanced by excellent midrange and highs. One suggestion to the buyer: Throw away those KEF crossovers and fit Radford crossovers. The difference is night and day. The Radford crossovers differ in several, important, ways: * Air cored inductors throughout. * Steep filter used on the HF driver. * A sharp 'trap' is used to clean up the midrange driver. I also suggest replacing all bipolar electros with decent film type caps.
