OakenShield1 Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 No real susprise really. Toshiba aren't giving other companies much chance to keep up with their pricing, this also includes rivals, however.
SDL Posted February 5, 2008 Posted February 5, 2008 That story was around last year, they didn't want to take anymore into Europe because they couldn't compete on price with the Toshiba players. Not sure why the same facts have been rehashed? Can anyone see anything new that made this reporter rewrite this? Maybe I'm missing something?

It would have to be the Universal I think. About the only thing they could add to the XE1 to justify more bickies would be DTS HD MA onboard decoding.

The only problem with that is they may believe that would prevent them from selling new receivers. They were the original ones I believe, at least from my reading, that suggested that they thought the decoding was best done in the receivers about the time they were releasing new receivers.
