That's a bargain at that price, if I were in Brisbane I'd pick it up in a second :) Someone's going to be a lucky buyer!

I thought so too, c'mon people pick up a bargain here before I have to throw it in the trading post.

I'd love to buy it, but I just can't justify the cost. Back in June, we were desperately tying to find a rack just like this for our new office. Unfortunately, the cost of buying mounting rails for our server was almost as much as the rack itself. We ended up buying a small wall mounted cabinet and a $99 Ikea table to sit the server on.

Yes, it is a bargain. Yes, I do have a space for it. No, I can't afford it.

Sorry

I've got one 45RU size rack and would be lost without it. The 19inch racking system is so convenient, especially for those who are always reconfiguring their systems. Just be aware that heat easily builds up in the rack and you will need to take counter measures against this.

I would buy the shelving if you're prepared to split up the sale, and ship to Perth?

I have 6 rack shelves that are brand new still in the plastic in the garage I guess I should put them on ebay or something. The rack stuff is very convenient and modular to the nth degree I agree.

Well I'll price them here. However, I see you've got a couple of nibbles from W.A. so maybe costing the shipping from your end might be something to consider?

Most removalist/shipping companies charge by volume not weight - so it might not be *such* an unrealistic cost ... get dimensions of the website and ring a few courier/shipping companies perhaps.

Chops

Just wondering, what are the counter measures to take? Install a fan or something? Ducting?

Depending what you are running but a couple of fans hooked up to the ceiling of the cabinet do the trick hooked up to one of the servers or you can get them with their own power supply these days.
