Psycho!
Mobius 360 bipolars Came across these rather sci fi looking speakers. Not exactly my taste but I was wondering if anyone had seen or heard a pair? Here is some of the specs/blurb on them. Mobius is as much sight as sound, as art as science. It derives its aesthetics through physics. 360 degree technology dictates its look and feel. Based on a design that emulates a perfect pulsating sphere, Mobius radiates sound from a central point source, producting its trademark 360 degree of balanced sound. Mobius is patented bipolar technology with twin 8" dome-shaped, midbass drivers mounted back to back. It is engineered with an 8" side-firing subwoofer, housed within an enclosure at its base, to minimize the signature footprint. Mobius is a study in form following function. Floor Standing: 8" bipolar array with integrated subwoofer Tweeter: 1" silk dome, FF cooled with neodymium motor Midbass: 6" voice coil, neodymium motor, talc-filled PP cone with rubber edge, air compliance displacement technology (ACDT) Subwoofer: 8" side-firing with 3" port Frequency Response: 45 Hz to 20,000 Hz +-3.2 dB Power Handling: 250 watts RMS (RS 426B) System Efficiency: 88.3 dB Impedence: 8 ohm nominal Deminsions: 42H x 12W x 15D Weight: 55 Pounds Finishes: Silver piano lacquer - 6 shimmering coats They aren't cheap either with some Aussie sites showing them at $6,800! They would want to be pretty impressive for that much moolah. Edited September 12, 2007 by Psycho!
