Sherwood DV-S46 white balance issue

Featured Replies

Gday everybody,

I am having an issue with a Sherwood DV-S46 DVB Compliant Digital TV Receiver.

The issue is that there is an overwhelming brightness to white images on all channels, and there does not appear to be any way to control colour contrast from the onboard features of the box.

I have tried the box on both my "Panasonic Quintrix F" and my LG(unsure of model) televisions and have the same problem on both. I can only imagine that it is something to do with the set top box.

The white problem is prodominantly overwhelming when changing channels, but then the white dies down a little, but is still to overpowerful for most white images.......so imagine watching the winter olympics!!!!

If anyone else has had, or is having this problem wit the Sherwood DV-S46, or any other sd set top box, please reply so that we all can live without bright white tv!!

I look forward to your replies.

Tommy,

I had this same problem with the Sherwood and I changed the connection to my TV from composite (yellow RCA) to S-video and the problem has disappeared.

Hopefully it might work for you too.

Cheers,

Luke

A 75 ohm resistor acrosss the composite output (in the back of the yellow plug) may solve it too.
