Quite correct there Spearmint............there has been a significant decline in the birthrate in this country since the Milkman, Baker and Dunny Cart Man stopped doing "Door to Door", er, "Deliveries".

Still hot. I make one of these every 2nd day.

You can get an idea of the size by the CD-R in the pic.

My dough balls; Just pour your favourite topping on them, Maple syrup, honey , ice magic and cream, or just plain icing sugar.

Same recipe as my bread recipe. A nice liquor goes down well with these, with some smooth music of course.

Funny you should say that ... I was thinking of making a nice steak with a blue cheese sauce for dinner tonight ;)

Amf, DO NOT FORGET the asparagus. Brown off the stalks with the steaks, then lay on top and slice blue vein over them.....melt through. A light drizzle of worcestershire sauce before serving and....viola, beautiful.

EDIT. to cpmplete the meal amf.....a bed of cuscus and some rocket with some diced carrots in honey and cinnamon on the side.

The best blue to use is "Roaring Forties Blue" from Safeway.

Dice your carrots up into quarter inch squares, cook in microwave in covered container with 1cm water.

Drain and stir in honey and cinnamon.

Baked beans a-la-Joz.

I just had lunch; Home made pizza cooked in the Gas Webber BBQ.

Bacon, Cheese and Hot Salami over a base of Fresh Oregeno and garlic tomato puree'.

Baked Beans a- la- Joz? with Blue cheese?

Hey, that's how I did my pizza yesterday! I used a pizza stone on the Weber. I got fed up of my oven which doesn't quite get hot enough. I make my pizza's one by one and as the evening goes on, all that opening and closing of the oven makes the temperature drop. Towards the end the pizza stone starts to get cold and the bases don't get cooked through. I made sure that my Weber was loaded up with enough coals to turn it into a real furnace! The pizza's came out a treat - nice crisp base, chewy center, and browned on top.

I can definately verify that amfibius ;)

My Weber is an original Gas, which heats Volcanic Rock on which you can add Rosemary twigs or similar for that smoky flavour.

The Weber has a direct cook or roast cook setting and of course the flame can be adjusted with the turn of a knob. Pizza, in fact every thing tastes better cooked in the Weber.

Unfortunately they don't make replacement parts for this model anymore and the poor thing is dying a slow death.

My inside electric oven is hardly ever used with the Weber doing most of the work, including the Xmas cooking for the last 15 years.

Well Amf.....did you cook steak a'la Andrew or not?

Andrew, I didn't ... I decided to use up the leftovers I had over the weekend. So I made an omelette with prosciutto + bocconcini + mushrooms with a side serving of a tomato salad.

BTW, Roma tomatoes taste AWESOME on their own. There's something about the crispy fresh texture and the mildly suppressed acidity that is quite invigorating! From now on I think I will only be buying Roma tomatoes ...

I always found the 'Romas' to have a better taste when cooked or at least very very ripe.

King George Whiting fillets for dinner tonight.

Some battered, some fried in a little butter and served with fresh salad and chips.

My son supplies us with the fish, so it's a free meal tonight. ;)

Good on you!

That's the downside of living in Torquay - all our fish is imported from elsewhere in Australia. You would think that living by the sea, we would get nice fresh fish - not so. Torquay has no fishing industry, only surfing and tourism.

Here are the pictures:
