I've had a look into this before and it sure is an interesting development.

As you note, it's damned expensive though.

I cant help but think there must be some spurious noise emanating from the rotating blades.

Great for HT but as we've noted recently there's a lot of unpleasant subsonic rubbish on some music CD's that we dont want to hear.

This is interesting, since using my subs with 2ch I’ve never noticed any of these artefacts on any of the recording I have.

Kylie doesn't have any bass does she?

Seriously, it's only on vary few CD's Mr Mint, and most of these have been computer generated bass on trance/techno tracks.

One of the Gorrilaz tracks is apparently a culprit as well......there's a separate thread somewhere on which one.

I'd imagine your beasts would have a low enough frequency response to find it...............it generally results in unwanted (non audible) cone movement which has to have a detrimental impact on the drivers ability to accurately reproduce the audible content.
