Item: aurum cantus 103
Location:elwood 3184
Price: 1000
Item Condition:7/10
Reason for selling:i don't want to but im not allowed to keep so many speakers
Payment Method: Pickup - Cash, Paypal, COD Only
Extra Info: i am extremely torn on selling these, they bring so much detail and height to music but in the real world i dont really want to be divorced for having a wall of speakers in the lounge.

the ribbon membrane has recently been replaced (out of curiosity) and they sound wonderful..you can hear mick jagger pursing his lips
.the bass extension from the "7 woofers is fantastic,i had to get up and check i didnt have my sub on.

most ribbons lack the upper mid freqencys as ribbons dont get down there and woofers struggle to get that high.not the case here, the long 100mm tweeter gives the extra lower frequency and its smooth as silk all the way through

these won speaker of the year 2006 $2000-$3000 and its easy to see why http://www.hifionline.cz/files/aurum-cantus-melody-m-103-test-hi-fi-and-home-theatre.pdf
theres some sun fading on the cabinets where leaving a faint outline when the grills are off but you dont notice from a listening position. theres also fading on the back. not major and they look stunning i just dont want to mis represent.

Fantastic speaker. Having auditioned these in Adelaide one year I can back up the OP's rap about them.

Realistic pricing too. GLWTS.

Not in the market for speakers but might have been if these Aurum's had still been for sale.
