Fascinating and strangely relaxing video. I think I appreciate my DL103 a bit more now.🥰

I still want to boron/microridge it though.

I wonder who makes coil winders, i guess these machines are designed by Denon and made for them.

With watch making which is equally a very specialised area you can buy every tool to do anything watch related you can think of, but i have never seen any cartridge tools sold by anyone.

Those winders machines are amazing. Even though the Denon machine is fast, when you see the process, it shows how much of a bargin the 103 is.

I love my DL103 (with aluminum outer shell). Can't wait to get it back from retipping and getting the new wood body installed.

Well Chris, watchmakers are everywhere and this make a tool maker enough buyer to make a living out of it. How many cartridge makers are left in the world ?  Including repair persons ?

There are more makers than you might think, how many cartridge brands are out there, many  many.

I agree there are not many repair persons.

According to AJ Van den Hul Dynavector owns the finest mc coil winding machines ever made - specifically in terms of winding the finest wires (gauge) that most others won't handle. The Dynavector winding machines AJ saw were so superior to anything else he tried to buy them - but nada.

Doing them by hand you can be as neat and can wind even the thinnest wires, but it would be great to press an button and it was done.
