Looks like grape juice consumption might take a hit, huh? 😁

I recon you may have enough to last a couple of weeks at half rations.

Lately, I’ve felt like I haven’t been able to deliver the entertainment experience you deserve. My recent dive into Brodric’s Esoteric Grandioso N1T made me realise just how much I’m missing with my current digital front-end. The week-long journey to reconnect with my own server was eye-opening, leaving me with a lingering sense of inadequacy about my setup.

But don’t worry—I’m not giving up just yet! For now, I’ll continue to work with what I have. After all, they sound not too shabby at all.

Don't worry, we'll cook up a plan to get the whole Grandioso stack connected to those M7's. It will be glorious. D1XSE should be arriving late September. We can do it then or slum it with the D1X.

As you are aware, we are planning a gtg tomorrow to audition the Wadax all-in-one digital player. The unit is priced at $95,000.00.

Regrettably, Perth is forecasted to experience heavy rainfall. Given the high cost of this equipment, we have decided to postpone the trip until a drier day.

We will keep you informed of any updates.

Is it this one?

I didn't realize they were AU$95K. You can buy an Esoteric Grandioso K1X + PS1 and G1X for that and have $18K left over for a few cartons of nice grape juice. I'd be very surprised if that clocked Esoteric player didn't outperform the Wadax.

Yes, it is that Wadax.

This unit also has an upgrade path to PS and an external clock.

From a first reading of the supplied information, I understand your point of view.

Has the pricing been finalised yet?  I read somewhere it was going to be around $375,000 USD

Where is the digital director, I wonder? Those two power supplies will consume a fair bit of power. I wonder if one acquires this set, might they struggle to find extra funding to power them?

May be offloading another investment? 🤤

The DD is sitting on the top shelf.....

Two power supplies? The power supply is on the bottom shelf. It is three power supplies inside a single chassis.

US$375K confirmed by MSB today.

Oh man! The world’s inflation rates are soaring dramatically, far outpacing our daily blue-collar wages! It's becoming increasingly difficult to keep up with the rising costs of living. An audiophile’s living that is.

The machining of the Sentinel chassis is state of the art. A 0.5mm end mill on a 5-axis CNC is used for the engraving. You can see what you are paying for. So who's going to be the first to order one? Tasso?

Jeez it makes the AU$475,000 for the DCS Varèse system a veritable bargain... 🤑

It'd be unlistenable if they'd only used a 3 axis machine.😀

Digital technology has rapidly become obsolete. Such pricing will drive businesses out. I will wait for the right opportunity with the pre-owned cascade.

MSB's spin on Sentinel is it's a product for "patrons", not ‘regular’ customers.

Yeah it's getting a little bit ridiculous.

Second hand can be a smart way to go.

I can appreciate a flagship product to push the technology along and make a statement of what a company is capable of but they should always remember that all of their customers are important regardless of whether they can only afford the lower tier products.
If they see some of their customers as less important than those who can afford their Sentinal that's just plain obnoxious.
