Last night, Mercury draught cider. Take a stubby, drink one third of it, top up with Fruity Lexia. Skull it. Take the next stubby ....

My other favourite is Bavaria (the Dutch 5% Dutch Lager imported by Liquorland). For ages now they have had the 660 ml longnecks at 3 for $10. Bavaria, like most Dutch Brews, is much of a muchness with Heineken but you are getting the genuine import, not the Lion Nathan copy.

currently Dr Pepper :P

Oh no, not Dr. Pepper - at $50 a slab :P

I'm drinking nothing, but I'm desperate for water :D

whats a slab worth then  ?

haven't come across a slab yet, I know a 12 pack is $30, individual can is $2.20 or $2.50 depending on where you go.

The only annoying thing, a can is 355ml as opposed to 375ml

so you meant $60 for 24 ;)

so you meant $60 for 24 ;)

no, a single 24 pack is $50.

whats Dr Pepper, some type of cola?

My favourite s/drink is Bundaberg Ginger Beer/

I must say I have never tried it..

I gather its better than Pepsi

well anything is better than Pepsi :D

I haven't had a coke for ages.. I prefer the glass bottle w/metal top.

Ages ago, I was at a casino down in Tassie, and all they had was pepsi.. can you believe that

probably 10 years ago there was a promotion in Australia, 1 in 2 wins, I won quite a few in a row.

They tried to introduce it here, I think Schweppes made in under licence for a while. It's a cola that tastes like cough medicine. Failed miserably. The Yanks love it for some reason. Yek I can taste it now!

Wikipedia sums it up (and I see someone backs up the cough syrup comment above  )

Dr Pepper was introduced to the Australian market in 1997 with a short-lived TV advertising campaign and low priced 280 ml cans sold through supermarkets. Dr Pepper was subsequently sold in 1.25 litre plastic bottles alongside other major brands until 2003. Cadbury Schweppes stated that the product did not gain acceptance by Australians, whose detractors complained that the drink tasted like "cough syrup"[citation needed] (a tag also given to Sarsaparilla). A report on the soft drink industry by IBIS accused Cadbury Schweppes of failing in their marketing of the brand, given its global appeal.

After withdrawing from the Australian market, Dr Pepper arrived without fanfare in New Zealand. Cans imported from the U.S. are available in some specialty stores in New Zealand and Australia.
