  • Happy father's day to those who are celebrating it.   Caught up with some SNA folk yesterday. Quite the headache today..   @metal beat @Viognier @klackto

  • Very good cool climate wine and certainly good value compared to the Clonakilla flagship. Co-fermented with 5% Viognier. Has the classic Canberra Shiraz white pepper.

  • Had a great lunch at Oncore by Clare Smyth yesterday. Very very exe wine list, so did matching wines..  grabbed an extra glass of this Neb.   Views speak for themselves

XXXX Gold, a little early, but I need a hangover cure

Mate,

If your'e drinking XXXX Gold you haven't got to the hangover bit yet

Your'e still drunk.

Ols :)

Recently there was a story on TT that I missed, it was about a man that has 50 Beers everyday :o

On the Actual Topic: I'm Drinking Air ;)

Waiting for a Pork roast to come to perfection and drinking "Tangled Vine Soft Dry Red", 2 casks for $16. Some of this Liquorland contracted stuff is quite ok. My brother in law who lives at Beacon Hill, Sydney, (overlooking the Warringah Mall) would never touch anything under $15 a bottle. When I was there last year I slipped him a glass of Liquorland Vino Gusto Rose, (3 bottles for $15). After having several oral orgasms he wanted to know which exclusive south facing slope of the Barossa had produced this fabulous nectar. Last time I saw him in March he had a Liquorland six-pack wine carrier (the green one) living next to his fridge :lol:

Talking of Liquorland their dutch imported beer is very nice, Hollandia and Bavaria. If you have ever been to the Netherlands as a backpacker and thus dined and drank out of their supermarkets you would know that there are very many cheaper beers of equal quality to Heineken and Amstel available for daily quaffing purposes and the products of the B.V. West brewery are well known and widely drunk over there. Good on you Coles for bringing two of their products to our glasses over here.

By contrast, BWS's answer, "Amsterdam Mariner" is an insult to beer drinkers. :angry2:

Edit: replaced Syney with Sydney. Tangled vine is working already.

Ahh the good ol' daze, when it was customery to have a pill in the afternoon just in case one got a headache, sold as a preventative rather than a curative!

Bit like 'mothers little helper' in the Stones song, but I htink that was referring to Valium (?)

Hey Mello,

Good to see your front ;):D

Always remember many moons ago hitting the Bombaderry pub at opening time on a trip to Sussex Inlet.

All the old fella regulars were "starting" the day with Bex's and shots of whisky while we drank our schooners. :o:o:o:P

Mate the stuff that used to be in anything you could get over the counter in those days make Ben Cousins look like an afternoon soapie housewife.

A lot of really bad drugs ....and thankfully a lot of them now banned.

Fruit and veges werent immune to it either

I heard a certain breed of banana peels packed a bit of a kick :D
