  • Very good cool climate wine and certainly good value compared to the Clonakilla flagship. Co-fermented with 5% Viognier. Has the classic Canberra Shiraz white pepper.

  • Had a great lunch at Oncore by Clare Smyth yesterday. Very very exe wine list, so did matching wines..  grabbed an extra glass of this Neb.   Views speak for themselves

On weekends have been off the grog of late, wife being pregnant and all, been keeping well and truly sober. That and the fact that its hard to buy the stuff on one income atm!

Last big one where I wrote myself off was 1st day of 1st test at the 'gabba, smuggled a bit too much of the bundy. Don't remember much, but hey I was there for the 1st day of regaining back the ashes :D !

Water for me too right now. For a couple of reasons:

1) There's plenty of it over here!!

2) Not sure martinis would go down too well at work.

I tried some of the James Squire "Limited Edition" Hop Thief. A very fine drop that is indeed.

Milo

Milo :D

Nice one. I'm heading to the pantry right now!!! :P

Unfortunately, it will have to be from the green tin. They don't have the malted variety in the red tin over here...

I've only ever tried that once I think (the red). Years ago when I was little.

I can thoroughly recommend it!!

Meanwhile: NO MILK!!! (or rather, just enough for breakfast and a cup of tea in the morning)

Change of plan then. Hokey Pokey ice cream it is...

you'll be there a while won't you...they'll catch up

All this talk of Milo and the malted variety, is making me crave those chocolate malted milkshakes I used to get when I was but a lad... Mmmm, you could usually get two and a bit glasses of choc malted goodness, with the inevitable ball of creamy icecream in the bottom to finish.

All these pre-mixed Mooves and the like in their cartons are abysmal shadows of those good old milkshakes. :D

Meanwhile: NO MILK!!!

You don't always need milk with Milo

Like Milo Yoghurt and Milo Bars?

Sometimes I just like to eat milo out of the tin

As a kid, I was fairly partial to a milo sandwich...

... no mello, the health drink. I was far too young to be thinking about puppies and pussies back then.

Or Milo on ice cream. But better is Maple Syrup on ice cream.
