Dead right there I happened to drop in on a new Microbrewery Bar in Cairns BlueSky Brewery for a lunchtime squirt and the beer was quite good but at $6.50 a pint good job cars don't run on it.

On topic 8yr old Bacardi Ron Reserva Superior just need to concentrate on making my Tom Yum Kun with Squid damn too much chili.

Tonight it's a Cascade Pale Ale homebrew (with a little bit of secret ingredients thrown in). It's been sitting in the bottle for 4 months now and it tastes brilliant!! One of the best brews I've ever done.

I can't see this one lasting long actually

Some great advise and recipes to be had too. (So many ideas and so little time to test them.)

Thanks mwd. I've been a lurker on aussiehomebrewer for a little while, that's were I picked out some ideas for my secret ingredients for the Pale Ale (not that there's any secret in buying brewing sugar from the brew shop ). Much like this forum for brewers I guess, there are the casuals, the nubs and the hard-core.

Phew 9% ABV thats a strong brew, swapping 2 earl greys definately DIY . Hic

AJM 4 months in the bottle now that is self restraint Must have lost the key to the storage cupboard.

The 9% is the actual beer content. The rest? Well the sign above the brewery door says, "Don't ask, don't tell". I always assumed that refered to the HR policies of the THB but it could just as well apply to the catering, cleaning, car parking, recycling and sanitation.

Many Bothans died to bring us this information.

... and the 9 is rounded up from 5.. you know - like supermarkets do - but im discounting it 1% (gosh im a good barman)... everyones a winner!

so was just going to get the 2 bottles of black label Johnny Walker that are on special at BWS this week

but Son wants to get the green label in it, but a little expensive

so i agreed to go halves with that as well

what i want to know, is the green really that much better?

They are both blended whisky which, IMO, are pricey considering the quality. Does Mr Duck drink any single malts?
