Just a courtesy note to members. The forum upgrade (2nd attempt) will likely take place late this afternoon and into the evening.

One thing that has been noticed is that the independent "Login Name" and "Display Name" has been deprecated.

 

Once we move to the new software you will need to login with your current Display Name. You can manage this now from your User CP.

 

It may pay to check your Display Name (while obvious, it may differ from the username you use to login now) now to ensure you know it, or want to change it prior to the upgrade.

 

Once we upgrade, you will simply be able to click on Forgotten Username or Password and assuming your email address is correct, it will email you the relevant login information anyway.

Seems ok to me:

Deprecation is the discouragement of use of some feature, design or practice, typically because it has been superseded or is no longer considered safe, without (at least for the time being) removing it from the system of which it is a part or prohibiting its use.

Not to nit-pick or anything, huh? Deprecate is a word that has been somewhat bastardised in the IT industry to mean something that is not allowed or not recommended... but again, not to nit-pick, eh?

I added the option for email address OR display name. Should help a few people manage the transition.
