HI - my 6m of Monster Cable that I have had for at least 20 years has gone totally green (a nice emerald green) along its entire length and circumference. Took some plastic sheath off (with difficulty) and as I assumed, found it is the copper oxidisation throughout. A very knowledgeable guy I met says it is stuffed and to throw it out, that the copper has fully oxidised all through and not just the surface. What he said makes sense to me but I would like several other opinions from other experts on this before I discard it. Has it lost its ability to properly conduct sound frequencies as it used to? It still sounds ok to me on various speakers but I am no audiophile (not yet anyway!) thanks.

Further information: MONSTER HDMI CABLE - 2M long This is one fat hdmi cable measuring 1cm in diameter. some of the braid is coming of a little, refer to pics. however does not effect performance. MONSTER SIGMA 2 - Superb stereo speaker cables - these were top of the range, outrageously expensive Monster cables. I believe these were rated as some of the best cables under $2,000 in the early 2000s. The Sigma range was their best work. They are incredibly thick, nearly a kilogram each (840g), and sound amazing. Selling because I needed longer cables and moved to Analysis Plus. The green Isotek power cable is not included. It is in the pictures to show the scale of these Monsters. They are 125cm end to end.
