  1. Good amp! I have mine to my mum. It gets used all day every day and I'm always happy to hear it when I visit.
  2. Great amp for rock! I used one for a few years. It blew up in a spectacular display of sparks and smoke. I hadn't been so upset since I came home from school and found my goldfish on the floor. Suicide? Why, Allison, WHY??!!
  3. Absolutely. The first deck I had that knocked my socks off. I'd had a Technics 1200 MK1, a very early Rega Planar 3 and a Technics SP10. Bought a TD160 with Empire cart From Trevor Lees. Plugged it into my system and was floored.
  4. Phono input?? Wow. Sub output Optical in. Very cool! Remote control? Good luck! I'm not shopping. Just checking out what's out there. Mark.
  5. G'day Pete. Can a preamplifier be used with these? Cheers. Mark.
  6. Haha! That's great. Yeah, the older I get the more jazz I listen to. Good luck, mate. Mark.
  7. I very strongly suggest not selling it.
  8. G'day Frank. Does it need a neck reset? Cheers. Mark.
  9. "life really is too short. " Absolutely, Jake. I have a hobby which is buying low quality guitars and working on them, playing them, tweaking, playing, tweaking, playing... until nothing more can be done to improve the instrument. Then I buy a new one and off we go again. I decided to do try the same approach with my HiFi so put my stereo into storage and started to build a new one. Now my philosophy is to tweak, listen, tweak, listen... until the stereo sounds perfect for my taste, which is nothing like typical audiophile tastes and then swap the speakers. This kickstarts swapping out the entire system piece by piece. This is a five year cycle. Why? Because I've got maybe 4 more systems left before my times up. Life is absolutely too short.
  10. Ha-Ha, that's great Jake. I notice hi-fi in movies too. All of a sudden I'll pause the movie and I'll be on my hands and knees in front of the TV squinting at a turntable that appears in the background, out of focus and for under a second. My wife and and daughter are groaning. I'm muttering "...is that a Mk II? ...hmmm. ...bit hard to tell"
  11. I'd buy these in a heartbeat if I had the space. I've listened to these speakers at David's house. They sound absolutely fantastic. The reputation of the 57s is well founded. Very well priced. All the work's done. Snap em up.
  12. Are you sure that smashed tweeter doesn't effect the sound quality? I've never seen tweeters pushed in by the factory, or crumpled by design or engineering.
  13. I bought some Rokits do do some recording, but liked them so much I used them asy main speakers for over a year. Great fun trying out different pre amps.
  14. I had to click on this ad as I had absolutely no idea what was being advertised. A very intriguing title to the ad. Good luck! Cool coins. Mark.
