  1. I am retired now and suffer from a little industrial deafness. Hearing aids are helping to give me back some of the high frequecies sounds but not all. Looking at selling my surround sound seperates and purchase a Samsung Q990B 11.4.1 as i do not punch out loud surround sound at 75db+ anymore. Has anyone heard the sound quality and surround effects from this soundbar? My listening area is 3.5mtrs *2.5mtrs * 2.4mtrs (H).

  6. I read that as well. Just do what they say it does and all should be well. Agree about the cost. They offer USD165 spending dollar for credit of USD98 paid. Possibly becoming strapped for money or just overpriced to start off with. As my wife has said to me, when are you just happy with the great sound we have. NEVER!!!!! This is why it is called a hobby.
  7. Recently joined to get, i hope, some non-biased opinions on products. I have been reading about LessLoss products and would like some feedback about their new Firewall For Loudspeakers if possible. Is this just another gimmick? As they have to be imported there is a 20% restocking fee and the cost of international freight for return if I do not think they make an acceptable sound difference in my system. Can become a costly exercise. I posted a message how power cables made a difference to my system but I am sure there are some products out there that do nothing but suck up your money.
  8. I will not get into a discussion, heated or not about the quality of the post as it merely an observation and by putting it out there my knowledge increasing by the replies i get. My wife and I love good sounding music. It is a type of meditation.
  9. Thanks for all your feedback. Will look at the other threads and keep a low profile.
  10. I was an electrician with a background in electronics before retiring and was convinced that power cable upgrades did not make a difference to the sound quality from a stereo system. This was until I tried one. Well low and behold it definitely made a difference to the sound quality from my stereo. What I did notice was that the power cable made no difference when used on my analogue equipment (main amp or pre-amp) buy made a substantial difference when used on my digital equipment such as my DAC. I tried a few different types from a Brisbane manufacturer and found that their top of the range was not as good as there mid-range power cable on my system. I definitely noticed this when I used it on my Marantz surround processor. The top of the range power cable killed the sound and I was convinced that my processor was faulty. I then plugged in the mid-range power cable and low and behold the sound was better then it had ever been and so was the picture. Amazing how different power cables effect sound. I am now a convert when it comes to power cables. The power cable I purchased was close to a third the price of a named brand I tried and was just as good.
  11. Just reaching out about a CEC Transport I sold last night 1/12/19. Cancelled my account as I am new to Stereonet and gave to much info on the public forum about myself and panicked. If the person who purchased the CEC Transport could message me please.
