  2.

I've always had trouble with USB from a PC, no matter what power supply I use.

There's still some static coming through

If I used a rpi4 with a battery pack as power supply do you think usb would be good enough or would a pihat with an is2 output be the better option?

I have been using snakeoil os and will continue to use it, I am just hoping an os will support Amazon music hd at some point now that we have it in australia

Reading the specs, I see it only copes with a peak load of 600VA ... whereas the full draw of 10a from a wall socket is 2400VA!  (But, yes, the one you linked to is cheaper.  :) )

    Andy

And would it work or be better to get one from you?

Cheaper in build quality or cheaper in price??

  11. Ok it's at a mates at the moment.

Strange thing is that at his place there is no hum but I can definitely hear a hiss at full volume on the power amp?

Do that suggests that it is my power or possibly my streamer?

When I get it back tomorrow I should try unplugging the streamer and just using my phono.

If that's the same then will a dc blocker work?

    I have found

    https://www.avrevolution.com.au/products/audiolab-dc-block-power-conditioner?variant=39458416328763&currency=AUD&utm_medium=organic&utm_source=google&utm_content=Audiolab+DC+Block+Power+Conditioner+Silver&utm_campaign=shopping&gclid=CjwKCAjwhuCKBhADEiwA1HegOSPOhMGIyT9hKS_a3c4_UKkA9CHWJe_TNpKjwaZioWOnI4gNKG-eiBoCjukQAvD_BwE

But I'm guessing your diy ones would be better for such high wattage?
