    Ive noticed that there is no mention on the Australian Sony site of either DMex or the XMB for connecting the new generation bravia LCD's to the internet to download movies, HD content etc... Has this function been scrapped from Aussie release Bravia sets? Can the sets be upgraded later on to use these functions? anyone know? Cheers

    Hey all, Being someone who has had to deal with the endless issues of the cloudy/patchy backlight of the old X2000 series, has anyone noticed any of this on any of your new sets? its a big issue on whether Ill get the XBR or X again... I pray you all say NO because these sets look amazing!

    I saw a 40" x3100 in WOW today, HOLY JEBUS! it was showing that animated ant movie over blu ray and it was as if the characters were acting in a play, it was so lifelike, no motion blur at all, super smooth compared to the samy M81 which was studdering a bit next to it playing the same thing! can't wait till i get my 52"

    I had this problem and it was caused by the "noise reduction" setting. Turn it OFF AT ALL TIMES and it will stop the bluring completly. i was watching the cricket with it on and it looked so blurry!! but it was on HIGH. Turned it off and it was perfect. try this before getting too worked up. I think this was mentioned above

    Just sent back my first 40x for the this patchy backlight problem and got a new one today. The one i got today is worse then the first!! Both have manufacture dates of AUGUST 2006. Can someone post pics of a set without this problem? I think we'de all like to see them!! Cheers
