One of the best characters in this movie was the little baby/toddler alien,he is the cutest thing i have seen in a movie in a long time (smart too !)

This does not help much i know, but i bought this from dvd pacific 6 months ago on dvd,its a great film,very funny and the best acting i have seen from Colin farrel.Take note this is a very policticaly incorrect film and all the better for it

My order has not shipped yet,so i dont have a deadline,my complaint was that they took the money from my account and left the order sitting there,something they never do. From what people are saying the shipping is taking a long time too(about 4 weeks looking at the posts here)when they were quicker than amazon,most of the time i would get delivery in 7 days,i am hoping things will improve because i used them because they broke street dates and shipped quickly,no point if this keeps up,peep.

Be careful with dvd pacific at the moment,my ordered was filled last thursday week,and i know they dont ship fridays,but this wednesday it was still not shipped and they had taken the money from my credit card(which they never do until the order is almost delivered)so i emailed them to see what was going on. They replied saying they had less staff this new year and were finding it a struggle to fill orders and asked to give them afew more days,well now is friday again so it will not ship again this week,and i use them all the time because they ship titles early,these titles are now available at amazon and cheaper. I thought this was a bit rough really,they could have had some notice on the site so you could decide for your self and taking your money straight away was in bad taste,if this is how they are going to operate from now on i may have to go back to amazon which by the way i had an order with from the sale and they shipped staight away,so maybe people need to e-mail dvd pacific before they order to see what the situation is.

I had 3 orders shipped straight after xmas,nothing turned up,thought i would wait before e-mailing them as others have had them turn up after doing so,they all came this week ,that was the longest it has taken,at least they came i suppose,no lost orders yet!

I ordered this last night with death sentence and death at a funeral,all in hd-dvd.(there is a lot of death in there )

Great movie,awesome picture and sound,i think amazon had this either in a bogof or 50% off sale,cant remember which,well worth picking up.

Yeah,i think i will wait it out a little longer,i am just waiting for BOGOF discs,not really urgent,i have new releases coming from dvd pacific quite often so that will tie me over Cheers,peep.

My order was due friday gone and nothing arrived,if it does not come it will be the first lost order for me,as you say they are good about these things but its a pain to sort out,they have some real problems in shipping here at the moment,it makes you wonder how long they will go on like this.

Yes,mine was shipped 27th dec,standard,not here as yet,i only use amazon for BOGOF sales now because of this shippment joke,still takes the fun out of it though as you know of late they may not even arrive at all

I watched this yesterday if anyone is interested,great movie,great acting,the pq was very good except for a little noise in darker scenes,good sound with true hd,well worth picking this one up over the standard version.

Watched these over the last few days,no oscars coming to them ,but fun movies. Great pq and aq for all these,i would say shoot em up had one of the best transfers i have seen lately and awesome sound,new line have done a great job,i think they have raised the bar,hope they release the final destination trilogy,that would sound great in blu-ray

I found this to be the case also,i mentioned it in a hd-dvd thread,i was finding the sound much better on a blu-ray with pcm to a hd-dvd with true-hd,still not sure why this is the case. People were saying there is no difference between the two formats in quality,but in all honesty i find blu-ray to have the edge,watched War from Llionsgate and Rushhour 3 from New line and the sound is awesome,cannot see it being much better,now i want to watch the kingdom but that is being touted even on the hd-dvd sites as being a bit muted in the sound department. I really could not just have hd-dvd only,i would have both formats or just blu-ray,just my thoughts,i still like everthing hi-def

Just wondering how much better a xe-1 would be compared to the ep-10,i dont need 5.1 out as i have hdmi,thought the ep-10 was the way to go if this was not needed,all in the ep-10 has been good,just not finding it as good in the pq and sq as blu-ray at the moment.

I have found pcm to be an outstanding sound quality with true-hd pretty close to my ears,but sinse getting my ep-10 hd-dvd player i find after trying all settings that true-hd on this format is very flat and muted,the volume drops right off. When i go back to blu-ray pcm it blows me away again,may be its ps3 against the ep-10,may be another model hd-dvd would change things,i must say i have a new found respect for dd+ though,this can sound very good on hd-dvd discs.

Titanic,i am in the same position as you,got the ps3 first and now have a ep-10. I have also noticed slow chapter movement too,but i think it is because we are used to the ps3 which is a great machine and operates well,i think you might find "normal" blu-ray players will be as slow as hd-dvd players. As far as updates are concerned,there should be a update certificate in the box,you send that away and they will mail the disc to you,i got mine this week and did the update this weekend,all went well,now have 2.7 updated,it will tell you in the maintenance section if you have done the update right,if you are not sure,try putting the disc in again,if you have done it right the first time it will say update done.Toshiba seem to be quick getting back,so this has been good. Hope you enjoy it like i have,i am watching some hd-dvds this weekend,its great to have the best of both worlds Cheers peep.

Watched mr mrs smith last night,i have not seen this movie for awhile and did not own it on sd-dvd. This movie is quite a bit of fun with comedy and action,the blu-ray has great pq with nice colours and detail,the sound is excellent as many fox titles are. I just flicked through cast away,again the pq is stunning and the sound awesome,just watched the plane crash if this scene does not blow you away there is something wrong . Both of these titles are a great buy.

Andrew,my jan order with dvd-pacific has bourne 3 in the ready to ship section if that helps.

Just got my amazon order from the courier,had a free cd inside,so people might be getting xmas presents from amazon,or might be that my order cost $600 and they felt sorry for me

Can i suggest to people,if you really want an order before x-mas choose the courier option because stange things can can happen around this time including bottlenecks and theft,sure amazon are good at replacing goods but if you want it before x-mas it would be good to make sure,just my thought
