Not too sure about using the preouts, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone has any suggestions to improve the musicality of the 663. As the OP mentions its great on HT, but seems a bit lacking with normal music. Cheers

I had the same problem, changed batteries, re connected it to the xbox using the little button on the front of the controller and had no luck. I took mine back to the store, they tested it with new batteries and it worked funnily enough. I dont know if connecting it to another xbox helped, or just a third set of new batteries. Might be that your controller is just broken and you need a new one!

I had this problem also. I changed the settings on my harmony so that the LG is always on. Just means before you go to bed if something is taping to turn the sleep timer on if you really want the unit turned off.

I had the same problem with my pana, and still do with footy scores etc. I dont mind the footy scores if freo are winning, but it is annoying. I decided to get a Dell 24" lcd to play the 360 on (and use the PC), I just hated seeing retained menus etc, which sucks as it was great gaming on the plasma.

So did I, but when I was in store at Osborne Park (WA) it was labelled as $537. I was more than happy with that price!

I got the Forza premium pack for $537 less than a month ago at JB

My old mans is having trouble doing this. He has tried to tape The Unit a number of times and it has cut out at midnight. I might give it a crack tonight and see what happens on mine.

Is anyone else finding it hard to find a decent online match where ppl arent just drifting or stuffing around? I've almost given up trying to play online with this game.

Yes - plugs straight into the controller. You only hear the voice (on mine anyway) not the game sounds.

Hey guys, I'm new to the whole xbox live scene, having trouble finding a decent online game for Gears of War and Forza. I get kicked off before the games start in a lot of instances. I'm not much good (yet) at either as I only got the console last week, but if anyone is online in the evenings that wouldnt mind an amatuer joining in, please add yatesy78 to your friends list.

Finally got the CFO to hook me up with a 360 for the office/gaming room (and a nice 24" dell to plug it into). My online gamertag is yatesy78 so if anyone wants to add me go right ahead. Keep in mind I'm pretty crap - tried playing Gears last night and got rented big time. I tried to set it to 1080 but the text on the screen was a bit jumpy, looked fine on 720p though. To be honest I'm not sure how much difference it would make on a 24" 1900 x 1200 screen. Quick question... At the moment its connected to the dell via component, will the pq be any different if I buy one of those vga leads?

No complaints for me - recently got my folks one too. The remote angle is pretty ordinary, however I use a logitech remote now so its a distant memory! I dont use the editing, I typically watch/delete shows. I havent used any other pvr so I cant really say if its the best/worst, but for the $585 (1 month ago)I got the folks unit for I think they will be pretty happy. Very easy to use.

I also had to switch over to SD - it was too painful to watch the pixellation, and audio glitches.

I dont know about the signal cutting out totally, but it was absolute garbage last night. Hope Ralph TV taped!!!

I picked one up yesterday for my folks for $585 from David Jones (Perth). I honestly thought I should have tried a lower price as they didnt even baulk at that price when I offered it. I reckon during the mid year sales you will easily beat this price esp if they are running out the models. Sure there will probably be newer/better ones out soon, but for my parents it is easy to use, and the features that dont work such as editing wont be used by them. Plus the pq is as good as any I've seen, so they are happy. Cheers
