I'm sick and tired of both NZ'ers passing themselves or their products off as Australian to gain larger audiences, and Australia taking credit for personalities and successes which really belong to NZ.
Sick of it.
All this crossover both in military support, and now there being talk of joint Cricket and Rugby teams is just getting ridiculous.
I don't have anything against New Zealand - Great people and perhaps one of the most natually beautiful countries in the world, but its just that... a different country.
Some distinction needs to remain, until such time as NZers start paying taxes here, and we start paying taxes there, otherwise the whole point of supporting local content is lost.
Local content means specifically that. Australians should be paying to support Australian struggling talent, and thereby re-investing in the Australian economy.
Gotta hand it to her, though... the NZ PM is a bright spark. She's ugly enough to scare the paint off your car, but she's done well by her people. She's managed to trade her small market for a larger one. Kudos to her, and shame on us for letting it happen.
