  9. I currently use a Panasonic DMR EH50.I am investigating upgrading to a HD PVR/DVR. I find the Pana quite easy to use for editing ads etc. I recently tried to help a friend edit a commercial movie recorded on a LG ( not sure which model) and was not impressed. The vertical lines on the LG only indicated scene changes..very confusing. Could other wise forum members give me an indication of the ease of editing on other current models? Thank you Gen

  16. Thanks for the suggestions, Peter. The only TV alternatives I have are AV!, AV2, Component, S-Video, and, on the front of the TV audio/video playback
  17. "Now try playing a DVD and see if you can get a picture and sound (you will need to select the correct AV input on your TV). Once that is done, you know the connection is OK." THIS WORKED FINE (even had sound throught the amplifier) Have attached SCART> SCART and component cables I have another input on the Philips TV... (red , White and yellow)on the side, and the "book" tells me it is for "more convenient direct playback connections for quick and easy connections fro Camcorder tape recordings" Also on the Panasonic I have an AV3 connection of the front and an AV4 on the back. Should I play around with these as I am still unable to record on the Panasonic Your are being very patient with all this and I am very grateful Thanks again Gen
