  1. Wow - that was better than reading the cartoons... Sorry Groover haven't seen your footy.
  2. Hi foxtail, You may want to have a listen to B&W. Front - 602 Rear - DS6 Also I have a B&W ASW300 sub (3 months old) for sale if you are interested...my listening area to to big for it, but excellent sub and delivery would not be a problem, I'm in TVL
  3. The AUSID remote has 4 RF addresses and 1 IR. From memory you press and hold power and the 0 button for IR, but you need the optional IR sensor... It all in the manual page ...
  4. Hi Glenncol, I noted in one of your previous posts that you were using MX500 remote with AUSID runing IR. Are you using optional AUSID IR and have you had any issues using the MX to drive the STB...
  5. Hi Paul, I got the combo AUSID/Fujitsu at the beginning of the year for $7100. The prices have dropped pretty much since then, however I am still very happy the combo and I have never been the type to wait for prices to fall. When I bought it we had been looking for weeks and but I only had a budget of $5k. I kept comparing everything back to the AUSID/Fujitsu because it just had the best PQ we had seen. The cheif accountant approved the extra funds and the rest as they say...
  6. Hi Chrissara, I am using AUSID STB with Fujitsu and am very happy. I have bought most of my HT gear from AV Design in TVL and also very happy with their service. They do have a stock of AUSID box. Ring Nathan/Neil (07) 4772 3470. Good luck..
  7. Great review Glenncol, I got a AUSID when I bought my Fuji about 3 months ago. I was a bit worried caus it cost my $1k and I couldn't find any reviews/info (just check there web-page) on them anywhere...but I stuck with because IMO, PQ and SQ were better than others on offer at that time. I have had a couple of 'issues'. If I did not change channel for over an hour, the sound would start clipping, a little to start, but if I didn't do anything eventually the sound was gone. If I changed channel the sound would come back...very weird. I checked everything and it was the box. Took it back to HN very displeased. They swore that they had not any issues with the box, however swapped my box for a another, no problems (Thanks Peter, HN @ TVL). It may have been my imagination, but the SQ with the replacement box sounded my dynamic. The other issue, the colours would change for no reason and because of above I blamed the box. This had nothing to do with the AUSID box, my fault for using cheap component cables with poor shielding (interference). Changed all three to Neotech, beautiful... I am very happy with the AUSID box and Fuji combo.
  8. Bady welcome to the forum... Just what is it you are trying to achieve here? You can always locate your current sub nearer the setting location to improve its in room performance. Be careful about what you are anticipating with regards to a subs performance, with most things in audio its all about compromise, and it all depends on how much compromise you are willing to accept. Your problem may well be a room induced null around the 40~60 Hz range which is where most of the big bangs occur, so by relocating your current sub may help fix this... Check out the post from Alebonau, and read what he says and I quote... Although as Al states good for HT may not be so good for music. Therefore if all you require a sub for is HT then first I would try relocating your current one before spending more on another that may also disappoint. If you decide you do want to upgrade make sure you audition them with the type of material you like to listen to, and preferably have an in home audition. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks gentlemen for opinions. I will check those brands you all mentioned above. Glenncol did you have any probs getting the SVS from O/S. The Outlaw I mentioned is also only available from O/S. I use my current sub for both music and HT (50/50). Is it possible to have a sub that will do good job with both. I have moved the B&W around the room and the best spot so far is next to the mains, in the corner and I have changed phase from initial setting. I have not tried 'next to sitting position' yet (I have to get longer cable). The B&W sounds OK but not what I expected (a little boomy with music/does not seem to have enough grumble with HT) I will try re-positioning and continue to audition possible replacements. Thanks again... ps. Has anyone heard of Whise subs, made in Oz (Melb I think)
  9. Good morning all, Due to my own not so good planning, I am considering upgrading my (nearly new) B&W ASW300 subwoofer to a more suitable beast, not that there is anything wrong with it, its just not powerful enough in a large room. Replacement subs being considered are: Outlaw LFM1 HSU VTF 2/3 MK2 B&W ASW 675 Your opinions will be appreciated. I have been reading this forum for about the last month. Plucked up the courage and registered this morning, so I am a newbie, please be gentle... PS. ASW 300 for sale, excellent condition (less than 3 months old) PPS. Amp - Denon 2805. 7.1 Speakers B&W 603, CM C, DS6 and Bose 151 rears. Room 7m x 4.5m...
