You just can't win:- Fox sports broadcast - PQ is absolute rubbish but is ad free Ten HD PQ just brilliant, (addictive) however the ads get to me anyway my 2 cent

We watched the game on my Pio 507 on foxtel and then watched a bit of it on 7 and some of the boyz thought channel 7's PQ was much better.

I think some of us have vented our frustration on a simlar topic previously on the forum, but I totally agree with you Troobador, repeats piss me off big time especially on the w'kend when you just wana chill back and relax and watch something NEW! I quite like animal shows on the National Geo but every time Fox puts it on, its one of those I viewed last year. And its the same scenario for Amercan Chopper on Discovery. For me the only good thing about Fox currently is its sports...I Love Rugby Union so its kinda OK atm.

I'm getting the shits as well. Foxtel is becoming no difference to the commercial scene in FTA. Sometimes I wish I get approached by those Foxtel sales rep in shopping centres so I can comment on these commercials. B/c I know if I sent a complain to Foxtel via email I won't get a reply.

Our Aussie remote for the 507 is a bit ordinary, especially when you compare it to the UK solid aluminium ones that come with their 507's... why is that we here in OZ always get shafted on matter like this when compared to other countries ???

Hi Guys, Majority of us know the Foxtel PQ is OK I am getting my Foxtel digi service transfered to my new home this saturday PS it will be a satilite installation. I have organised this via Telstra. I did mention to Telstra my Foxtel will be displayed on the Pioneer 507 via a Denon 3806. Based on this, they told me I will be getting the set top box that has surround sound capabilites, (not holding my breath here) but they will take my existing pace 420 box away. My question: Can I do anything to perhaps enhance the PQ? meaning should I buy specific cables before this Saturday? or should I just stand back and let the Foxtel chap do his work, thinking he will use the best source feed to hopefully maximise the PQ. I greatly appreciate all your thoughts Thanks inadvance Jason

For those unaware its the one where the golfers looking for the ball after driving it into the rough? I'm hoping it comes in 26 inch if not may have to get the 32 inch (this is going to be hanged in the bedroom) Can't seem to decide whether to go for the Soncy V series or the new Sharp Thanks Jason

I understand your fustration Mike......I bloody do To give an update since my original post.....sorry if I didn't mention I am with Telstra/Foxtel if that makes sense and I am not in any contract. I did mention previously I had a direct chat with one of the Foxtel rep not a Telstra/Foxtel rep, and the Foxtel rep said I would not be able to keep my old $50 plan since I was relocating homes. But I thought I'll give Telstra a buzz and see what the deal was there.........spoke to a nice Telstra/Foxtel chap based near Lismore and he advised that I would have to pay $99 dollars to transfer my service to my new house which I found out is satilite ...........and mentioned I could keep me old $50 plan...and still pay by the month.......you bloody beauty. He frankly said whatever Telstra offered was simply independent of Foxtel. Pretty happy about how all has turned out....but its a pity my new street doesn't have the provision of cables. I have heard that Foxtel via satilite is not as good as cable.

G'day-- Well currently in my apartment complex the foxtel installer mentioned we have analogue wiring but they can provide digital programs (clear as mud) But my new place will be cable. and to answer your question I think I may be a digital custy.

I'm an old Foxtel $50 plan user, out of contract and moving into my new home, BUT I would like to keep FOXTEL only if I can get this old $50 plan. And those who remember, on this $50 plan we could get all of FOX sports channels, Lifestyle, UK etc. These losers are now trying to offer these channels as extras now. Basically what used to cost me $50 will now cost me $69.... Believe it or not I got in touch with a nice rep....thats right a NICE Foxtel rep who is trying to speak to the Loyalty area to succumb to my demand. I won't be holding my breath......it would be a miracle though
