  1. The plinth I made same as the Shindo size and style, has been modified for setup for two tonearms, as shown in the photo, and can be set up for most tonearms on the market. The plinth is made of birch ply bb/bb and clear spray Price cheaper than your import, and I can help with any tonearm you wish to installation Pm me if you like
  2. You can buy a new spring replacement or make a spring short to tension the idler wheel to the pulley to try This problem is from the mechanism of both models 301/and 401 I'm sure this problem is not a spring
  3. Your Garrard 401 problem is the Idler wheel does not touch the inner platter well enough (not a problem by the spring ) You need to bring it to service and it will work well again
  4. I think you have a problem with subsonic filters in your systems First, you try connecting the phono cable to the right input in the amplifier Second, try to move the turntable far away max as you can with the amplifier If you can't fix it try to read the link below https://forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/are-subsonic-filters-important.872756/
  5. For both Tannoy Red and Gold monitor 15" I used 2a3se The vintage Tannoy is easy to drive with low power amplifier
  6. The driver in the photo is JBL-2405 I've tried 075/076/077 in the past. I know the sound is slightly different But after I have upgraded to the bullet horn I don't interest in another one, and another reason I want setup my system work at 16 ohm
  7. The bullet horn which I have is similar to the Kenric Sound ( not sure if it was made by Kenrick Sound) but one of the best upgrades I have heard, I'll not change to another one if the same cost
  8. I have planning to build a new Xover for the Onken horn speakers too
  9. Sharing my first time starting to build a 300b monoblock
  10. I never try an Airtight power amp but I've used the Airtight preamp ATC-1 build-in MM phono sound is great
  11. I running 100v / 115v until now not less than 15 years I'm very happy because the power cable and socket are very comfortable than the Australian cable You can't find any better than if compare same value is my opinion
  12. Yeah is 100v. 220~230v is very limited on the market or you need to new order
  13. Sun Audio 2a3 se, very good value for the sound Market value ~ $2500 AUD if your budget can spend
  14. I've TD-124mk2 PM me if interested
  15. I owned Maxonic L-430EX woofer 10 years ago ( hard to find fully complete systems ) then I've been decided to sell it last few years ago sound very fast and dynamic but it can't do deep bass at the low frequency than the Altec woofer, the mid-low soft is a bit compared with an Altec 416a my opinion: The field coil sounds amazing but not at all if you chose the wrong brand or model
  16. looks like your tonearm is RK-309 for SPU type A RKG-309 for SPU type G and the armwand short than RK-309 about 15~20mm
  17. The plinth on eBay looks suitable for Ikeda IT-407 or FR-66 FX, can't fit for RB-3000 just a 9-inch tonearm
  18. Your driver 99% is 416A, not a Z model I have never seen any Z model in a cast iron frame and Z model always stamps Z at the back of the magnet combined with numbers A model with high sensitivity than the Z model 3db Altec 416 which very good for Onken 360l enclosure I'm very surprised no one is interested in those for the horn system GLWS
