Mickey 17 on 4k uhd blu-ray, a very curious movie, its comedy, sci fi. I see few similarities to Total recall and the Hunger games series, also Edge of tomorrow. Like Total recall mickey transports to a colony and what is off world its also has comedy aspects though the main lead is no Arnie ! its like Hunger games in that there is an icky feel to it, there are some glamorous types at head of the organisation and getting up to some very odd ball stuff. Mark Ruffalo is a very trump like character, and with Toni collette very surprised to see her, they were meant to be over the top, obnoxious at times and playing satire and "hamming it up" . Mickey 17 himself played by Robert Pattison is quite the expendable disposable character and just plays that. there are so many characters in this film i think the characterisations are a bit rushed and quite shallow. The movie itself some will find odd, weird, others i suspect will take at face value. it is just what it is, will find some divided reviews and opinions out there on this movie. audio wise its quite good with an atmos track that is used in support of whats going on onscreen, the picture has a bit of grain to it, but punchy and colourful and can see some samples below as delivered by our jvc 4k projector.

Ex90 ? Wouldn’t touch it ! Even Volvo Kristian and kris Rafa volvo die hards have been very critical. Not sure what Volvo is doing both the ex90 and ex30 are bit half baked in regards software. Ex30 still not solved after so long after release. This is unlike the volvo xc/c/ex40 and polestar 2 that are pretty mature in this regard .. goes to show not everything new and shiny is best ! in cars like ex90 the bmw ix pretty much rules the roost. Merc has the EQS suv ? Audi has the q8 etron ?

Hi Mark ours is wall box that is very well recognised. Infact many brands throw in eg its mini /bmw rebranded. Mg volvo as few other companies come to mind. They are also installed by jet charge that also sell the zappi if have one zappi I suppose you could just get another if happy with it. I personally don’t see too much with regards brands. But then with wall box you don’t need interaction much. Just plug in works. It has an app. Which need to use. We Like the non interactive aspect. re both sides you can also wall mount the 230v 2.4kw home charger get with the car ? My mini bmw one certainly can be all mounted. But if wife needs the faster zappi that won’t suit if on your side of garage. not many folk would put charger on each side of garage. I thought of one on front wall ie can serve either car ? There is also a zappi twin head. That’s probably most folks will go with. especially if moving house it’s going to cost a decent sum to install and then remove when move ? I think another reason suggestion of the 2kw 230v home charger you likely already have ? keep in mind will have to also work out if enough power in board or circuit planning to run another charge into as will be another 7kw. Will have to check with sparky. If getting through Jetcharge you send them photos of boards and would need to let them know already have one zappi

Yeah it’s all very weird. Especially when a couple of other platforms, Apple and Spotify have it ? I wonder if the licensing is also out to individual streaming companies … and in some cases they don’t sign up or decide to drop off …

It’s a very good pick up Wol, and really makes me wonder now why songs artists drop off, I always thoughts it rights in the region, but yes you could be right it’s more streaming service related. Might explain why Apple / Spotify have such a big catalog vs tidal for instance which I have found quite patchy !

And so is it available on Apple Music …in cd quality lossless so why isn’t it on quobuz I wonder ?

I posted in other ev thread how we setup is charger is on left side of garage …. My side with my mini has its charging socket on driver side. Hers is parked next to me and charging socket on passenger side so the one lead easily reaches both if we will not share, as per benje suggest she gets the 7kw and you stick to the 230v 10a that will work off any power socket with your low use should be enough ! that said we have found it’s not like both need charge at same time. Most of time we charge each once a week. Do one one day, one other day. We are on evplan with 8c/kwh overnight charging. So charge over night anyways …

That massive batteries For yours there might not be much need for charging then ? That’s not a lot of kms either ? what do you think the wife might do ? my mini ev is similar to your use, it can vary …but it’s done 38327 in 4 years so 9581km in a year. A tad over yours in 14 months and I get by with about a charge a week at most, with much smaller battery the mini has only 30kwh… our 7kw ac is fine wife use and she has family long range does similar type driving to yours local kms plus any family and longer drives and averaging out to 1313km a month over last 19 months or 15763km a year we occasionally will public charge on longer trips but still about 99% of our charging is still at home. And 7kw ac charger is fine for this too? if doing similar with other car I wouldn’t say you have to add another charger to your zappi ? Keeping in mind if also have a power point you can also still use the ac 230v 2.4kw charger that likely came with car … at same time as using your zappi ? I have done that very occasionally … maybe twice in last year …

yep we wouldn’t go the dc aspect ourselves. The beauty with it is can also just do single phase ac, it’s that modular ! Can just be a battery pack and use your car battery to take off grid and power home. Very interesting stuff. I will hold off too myself this is quite a changing space !

Depends how old. The new 4k discs are a lovely restoration and if have a 4k setup will benefit

for folks that have quobuz, what specifically have you found as difference between the studio and sublime plans ... is it really just discount on hi-res music thats only difference ? am not really keen on downloading hi-res so does that mean studio is fine to stay on ? and only if wanted to download hires a lot would want the discount with the sublime plan ?

something like bluesound would just do as a source i would think ? i upgraded to eversolo a8 and i can see where money went. better analog stage and dac, screen... all those streaming platform support (do they have to pay royalties for that ? ). apple music native integration for lossless ... but yeah its 3 x the cost of the bluesound still effectively .. so get your point ...

What did you buy? 1973 Datsun 180BSSS coupe - Why? at $1200 it Red had two doors, factory lovely engine and twin SU carbies and i couldn't afford the 240Z - Did I like it? loved the engine and power and vibe of the car.. it wasnt a great handling car though and not enough grip - Why did you get rid of it? understeered into a tree on a damp road curb.. did i say didnt handle great or have enough grip ! - what did you replace it with? a $2k 1978 holden gemini SL, actually even though had a live rear axle it handled better than the datsun aa gemini had a superior front suspension. had better grip and went reasonably well.. had less power than handling which is probably a good thing and didnt meet up with any trees was quite the looker with blue metallic paint and white interior and took a pretty mean stereo that cost more than the car ! funny story.. i traded this car in for a Peugeot and one months later flipping to the car rag.. wheels i think it was on the back page they always had a funny photo and guess what feature was my holden gemini yep THE car same number plate, colour everything and it was titled "death by shopping trolley" it was picture having gone over a ridge and nose into a shopping trolley and was sitting there like so ps my datsun 180b sss looked exactly like this one inside and out ... https://starcarsagency.com.au/vehicle/1973-datsun-180b-sss/
