  1. Further Information: Schroers & Schroers (Berlin) Focus 90 Hifi Rack. Strong 10mm shelves that are held securely in place with tightenable brackets. The top of the rack is able to support the weight of the largest TV’s or amps due to the steel supports directly under the glass. Height adjustable feet. 900w x 430d x 590h. 2 adjustable shelves have 8 different positions they can be fitted in. Pickup only, from Marrickville. The current Schroers Focus racks cost a fortune, and aren’t available in Aust (as far as I know) so a good chance to get a high quality rack/stand here.
  2. Further Information: Moon Audio Premium V2 headphone cable suit Sennheiser HD800/HD800s/HD820. 5ft long. 3.5mm TRS source plug, and I can supply (not fit) a genuine used Moon Audio 3.5mm TRRS balanced plug if that's helpful. The cable is in excellent condition, with the exception of one of the Furutech carbon headphone plugs has a mark on the carbon fibre piece, a small nick on the heatshrink of the same plug, and the heatshrink of the source plug isn't perfect. Note, this is the premium version of the standard Black Dragon cable, and the Furutech headphone plugs cost about $200 to buy by themselves. Postage within Australia included.
  3. Further Information: Moon Audio Black Dragon V2 Premium headphone cable. 5ft. This is the ‘premium’ version with higher quality connectors (Furutech etc). Has 3.5mm TRRS at the source end, and 2 x mini-XLR at the headphone end. I believe this makes it compatible with Audeze/ZMF/HEDD/Meze headphones. The premium Black Dragon cables sell here in Aus for $749 new, and Moon Audio (and others) sell 3.5mm TRRS adapters that convert to 4.4mm balanced, 4 pin XLR etc if needed. Asking price includes postage within Australia, or pickup welcome from Marrickville.
  4. Further Information: Topping A90 headphone amplifier. As-new condition, perfect working order, with box/packaging original accessories etc.
  5. Further Information: Focal Elear headphones, in original box, with cable and paperwork. 1 owner, these headphones had a RRP of $1499 at the time of purchase. Excellent condition, and in perfect working order.
  6. Not offhand, though it may be of benefit to be on the mailing lists of some decent stores in case of subscriber-only sales. -Hey Now Hifi -A2A -Minidisc etc etc come to mind, though I’m sure there are many more…

  8. I have no experience with LS3/5a’s, however I can’t imagine satisfying listening to small speakers like that without a sub! Depends what you like listening to, and your preferences, but I’d imagine a small, fast, sealed sub would have to pair well with them? Herb at Stereophile loved using a sub with his Falcon LS3/5A’s, and Harbeth 30.2’s- his review might be a worthwhile read- https://www.stereophile.com/content/svs-3000-micro-subwoofer
  9. Further Information: Rega Vulcan subwoofer. Super-rare 100W RMS/200W peak power sub featuring a 8”/200mm driver in a sealed cabinet. Made by REL for Rega, I believe the Vulcan is very similar to the REL T5. This is a very well made, high performance sub, and comes with all original packaging, power lead and manual printout. A high-level 9.5m Speakon cable is also available with this sub at extra cost, which will be listed seperately.
  10. Are you sure this is genuine Acrolink? Id be very happy to be proved wrong, however I don’t think Acrolink has made a power cable like this, or plugs like this. I believe these plugs, and cable, are available only from Aliexpress, hence my query. Again, apologies if I’m wrong, but I’d hate to see someone not getting what they’ve paid for. Thanks.
  11. Further Information: KEF LS50W (white) with matching KEF Performance stands. Outstanding condition, with no visible marks or scratches I can see. LS50W’s come with all the packaging and remote and leads etc. No packaging available for the stands. Pickup preferred due to the lack of packaging for the stands, however I’m willing to work with any potential buyer to come up with a shipping solution if no local interest. Prefer sale of speakers and stands together, however will consider separating if the stands are sold first. RRP for the stands is $800, with shops selling for $700.
  12. Further information: Bought from another SN member a few weeks ago to try. Very impressive performance, and not just impressive for the money, but very impressive- full stop. Follows the Harmon preference curve fantastically well, and very low distortion. Pickup preferred, however happy to ship if necessary. Sorry- not sure why photos are upside-down!
  13. Wow, great pricing. Lucky NZers, hope they make the most of this offer!
  14. Thanks for that. I’m always curious to see the difference between different parts like these. I’ve attached some more photos for anyone curious as to the internals of the Eaton...
  15. Don’t suppose you took any photos of the insides of your power boards for posterity?! I haven’t seen many of the moulded plastic power boards to have much quality inside, though I think Eichmann might have sold a decent (rebranded) one some time ago. Metal enclosure with individually wired outlets seems a reasonable expectation for any manufacturer asking for higher prices... Photos show the insides of the Eaton unit.
  16. @andyr With regards to your suggestion to build a power board to suit the Thor, might I suggest that this power board would be a good starting point for someone suitably skilled/qualified to make a few minor changes? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/294254385746 https://powerquality.eaton.com/australia/products-services/surge-protection/au-sf8rm.asp?act=smtc&id=&key=&Quest_user_id=&leadg_Q_QRequired=&site=&menu=&cx=22&x=10&y=4 It's an 8 way PDU that features surge protection & noise filtering. As such, it's still not great for power amps, though it would be very simple to bypass/remove the surge/filter inside and have a straight power board. The outlets are all individually wired (ie, don't use flimsy busbars) and the enclosure quality is outstanding. The power outlets themselves are PW1-0W items the same as this https://www.wagneronline.com.au/mains-panel-gpo-socket/power-240vac/power-lighting/pw1-0w-35241/973869/pd/ but still easily upgradeable/changeable if needed. Better still, and probably for use without the Thor, some wiring changes inside will allow the power outlets to be split as required- ie, 6 outlets using the surge/filtering protection, and 2 outlets fed directly. Alternatively, Schaffner filters should also fit within the unit enabling any degree of custom filtering. Just thought it worth adding this info to the thread in order to be constructive rather than just bashing the Thor!
  17. I had a Thor PS10 for a short while, and sold it within a few weeks. It reduced the sound quality of everything going through it, although as Andyr states, the power board seemed responsible for a lot of this. I also took exception to their lack of specifications for the unit, and their claim of providing a ‘pure/pristine sine wave’ even though the small print states that the outgoing THD is the same as the incoming THD. Unless you are trying to solve a particular power problem (ie, under/over voltage etc) I’d avoid this one, personally.
  18. Thanks- I did see that one already but the pricing seemed a little optimistic to me, and isn’t much less than new. Seems Genelec pricing in NZ is higher than Aus, comparatively. Thanks for the tip though, hopefully something closer to home will pop up soon!
  19. Further information: Rack is in excellent condition with no marks or scratches I can find. Space available between shelves is 290/240/200mm and of course the shelves can be rearranged/removed as needed. overall height is 1000mm, shelf size is 510 x 460. Overall width is 650mm. I would imagine it wouldn't be too hard to get SGR to supply the bits to separate this rack to create 2 or more individual racks if needed, or change the shelf spacing. I've only been using 3 shelves, and attached the unused shelf to the top for the current photos. The rack looks even better with the large-spaced rack at the bottom. Though having said that, my top load CD player has plenty of room with the rack spacing like this! Asking price is way less than the current RRP price PER LEVEL, and a great chance to grab a world-class rack. All original boxes/packaging included. I'll say pick up preferred as the rack packs into 4 large heavy boxes, however am open to shipping if necessary.
