wolster Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 "ahhh off topic already suspect this is episode 1 of DERBY OR BUST" In that case, djb, keen followers of your adventure will be perplexed by the thread title. I reckon it needs a new thread starting with your post No. 3. Needless to say, Perth members will be ready with bread and water to help with the extra 3225kms to Derby from Perth. Cheers wolster
Benje Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 where would you buy a Pie Floater from at 2am on a Sunday morning? (must provide 2 locations) 1. Enjoy bakery, corner of the Parade and Osmond Terrace, a 100 yards from Norwood Oval. 24/7 operation 2. Piecart ?? They keep shuting/moving/having irregular hours. 3. Villis Cafe, Mile End, just of South Road. 24/7 operation Benje
Grumpy Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 WHAT THE !!!! That will be some trip, more an adventure I'd say. Shame you don't like Adelaide and want to by-pass us, we have some very nice members, pie floaters, Fritz for your sangas to eat on the way and some Green Death to wash them down with(Southwark bitter Beer). Actually i haven't had a Southwark for quite a few years, but is was the best beer in SA back in the 60's and early 70's.
emesbee Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 Actually i haven't had a Southwark for quite a few years, but is was the best beer in SA back in the 60's and early 70's. Can't agree with that. The best beer was Kent Town Ale (no longer brewed, unfortunately). The second best beer is Coopers Sparkling Ale. Southwark Green Death is not even close.
