Reason for Selling

NLR

Purchased new by me 14/04/2022 - one set from Audio Connection and the other from Apollo HiFi.

Both sets are in excellent condition with little use.

Used them on my Magico's for a few months only then put them back in the box.

Including the Isoacoustics threads for Magico A3 or can sell separately.

Not separating the boxes.

Delivery extra.

User reviews and community discussions overwhelmingly praise the IsoAcoustics Gaia II isolation footers for significant improvements in sound quality, particularly clarity, soundstage, and bass tightness, though some note minor tradeoffs like reduced bass quantity. Build quality is described as excellent and elegant, with strong reliability on various floors, leading to a highly positive overall reputation as a worthwhile upgrade.

### Sound Quality
Users consistently report audible enhancements across setups like Paradigm Personas, GE Triton One, Tekton Double Impact, PSB T3, and Revel Ultima2:
- Cleaner, more open soundstage with greater spaciousness, airiness, transparency, and imaging focus; speakers "disappear" and sound less "in-the-box."
- Improved bass: Tighter, weightier, less sloppy mid-bass, and cleaner low frequencies, though one user noted a slight dip in bass quantity.
- Better midrange and highs: More natural vocals, separation of instruments, and overall clarity; "revealing" and "sharpened" sound.
Reviewers often express initial skepticism but confirm noticeable differences, likening it to "sharpening a projector lens" or transforming speakers.

### Build Quality
- Machined from resilient elastomer with a concave suction-cup base for stable grip on hardwood, composite, or carpet (via included spikes); no residue, markings, or floor damage even under heavy speakers (over 205 lbs) or varying humidity.
- Elegant, simple design that looks better than factory feet; universal threading (M8, M6, 1/4") adapts to most speakers.

### Reliability
- Durable over months/years with no material degradation, residue, or floor wear; easy to move speakers without damage by tipping to release suction.
- Performs on both hard floors and carpet; no reported failures.

### Strengths
- Easy, quick installation (often "dead simple," hand-tightening).
- Free adapters from IsoAcoustics if needed; excellent customer service.
- Versatile for floorstanders; reduces vibrations in condos/multi-story homes.
- Aesthetic and sonic upgrade endorsed by brands like PSB, Marten, RBH.

### Weaknesses
- Expensive ("not cheap").
- Installation can be tricky in tight spaces requiring hand-tightening.
- May need custom adapters (though provided free).
- Adjustment period for some; minor bass quantity reduction in specific setups; results vary by speaker/floor (YMMV).

### Overall Reputation
Gaia II enjoy a stellar reputation as a "must-have" or "transformative" upgrade for uncarpeted floors, with users "spoiled" and unwilling to revert; lab tests and pro reviews affirm isolation benefits for deeper bass and midrange. Positive consensus spans Crutchfield customers (2026-era reviews still relevant) and audio forums, positioning them as reliable for elevating systems.

The fair market price for a new set of 4 IsoAcoustics Gaia II Isolation Footers is consistently listed at $549 AUD across multiple Australian retailers. This price reflects current retail listings as of recent data, with no discounts or variations noted among sources.

### Typical Price Range
- New: $549 AUD (fixed retail price; per set of 4, designed for speakers/subwoofers up to 54-55kg).
- Used: No user-reported prices or second-hand listings appear in available data, so estimate conservatively at $350-$450 AUD (typically 65-80% of new price for excellent condition, accounting for audio accessory depreciation).

### Key Factors Affecting Value
- Condition: New units hold full retail value due to premium machined dark chrome construction and included accessories (threaded posts, nuts, storage box); used prices drop based on wear, completeness, and original packaging.
- Demand and Availability: High consistency in new pricing from specialized hi-fi retailers (e.g., Melbourne Hi Fi, Brisbane Hi Fi) indicates stable supply without promotions.
- Product Specs: Fixed capacity (54-55kg per footer) limits applicability, but patented isolation design supports premium pricing for audiophiles.
- Set Quantity: Always sold as sets of 4; stereo pairs require 2 sets (8 footers), doubling cost.

Prices may fluctuate with retailer stock, import costs, or AUD exchange rates, but data shows uniformity for new units.

Just wondering why you put them back in the box after only a few months? Not happy with them?

I prefer the spikes on the Magicos.
