We Are Rewind has revealed one of its most iconic collaborations yet — the We Are Rewind × Elvis Presley Limited Edition Box Set.
This collector’s edition pays tribute to the enduring legacy of the King of Rock ’n’ Roll.
Strictly limited to 1,957 units worldwide — a nod to the original release year of Elvis’ Christmas Album — the set brings together a specially designed version of We Are Rewind’s acclaimed WE-001 portable cassette player and an exclusive reissue of Elvis’ Christmas Album, creating a tactile celebration of one of music’s most enduring icons.
Inspired by the glowing red “ELVIS” sign from the singer’s legendary 1968 Comeback Special, the limited-edition player features a matte-black finish with gold accents, echoing the style and swagger of Presley’s golden era. It arrives in premium collector packaging featuring archival imagery and a gold-foil silhouette of Elvis himself, bundled with a remastered cassette of Elvis’ Christmas Album — one of the best-selling holiday records of all time.
Romain Boudruche, Founder and CEO of We Are Rewind, told StereoNET the collaboration was a natural fit born out of shared reverence for timeless design and cultural icons.
The design was really inspired by Elvis’s iconic 1968 'Comeback Special'. It was an obvious choice for us to associate it with our brand, because Elvis perfectly embodies the bridge between vintage and modern. So we created a cassette player that blends analog nostalgia with Bluetooth convenience.
Building on the engineering of the company’s original WE-001 player, the Elvis edition merges classic analogue charm with modern convenience. It offers Bluetooth 5.1 wireless connectivity for use with headphones, speakers, or soundbars, a rechargeable battery delivering up to 12 hours of playback, a 3.5 mm headphone output and line-in recording for mixtapes or voice recordings, plus familiar forward and rewind controls with high-fidelity playback optimised for cassette. The result combines the tactile satisfaction of tape with the ease of modern tech, appealing to collectors and new listeners alike.
Boudruche added that the musical choice was just as deliberate as the design itself, drawing on Elvis’s enduring cultural influence.
Regarding the cassette — much like how Frank Sinatra left his mark on the holiday season — Elvis really shaped the Christmas atmosphere with his Elvis’ Christmas Album. He left an indelible imprint on the holiday spirit. So by reissuing this album on cassette, we think it’s going to make a fantastic Christmas gift and really resonate with fans and collectors alike.
With only 1,957 units to be produced, the We Are Rewind × Elvis box set is as much a display piece as it is a functional audio device. Timed to coincide with the festive season, it arrives with a newly remastered cassette edition of Elvis’ Christmas Album, featuring timeless tracks including Blue Christmas, Silent Night, and O Little Town of Bethlehem.
