Ultrafide Audio ENSO Integrated Gets Bristol Show Unveiling

Ultrafide Audio’s ENSO INT-125 integrated amplifier continues the brand’s “pro sound is homebound” mantra.
The ENSO (INT-125) is Ultrafide Audio’s answer to public demand, says the British company. The new analogue integrated amplifier is said to draw on technology previously showcased in Ultrafide’s widely acclaimed U500DC and SP500 power amplifiers, as well as in U4PRE. The promised result is “superior audio performance with a clear focus on sonic purity, headroom and musicality.”

The ENSO delivers 125 watts per channel into 8 ohms, or 2 × 250 watts into 4 ohms, based on Ultrafide’s trademark UltraSigma output topology. Features include preamplifier controls, tone adjustments, an OLED display, a Class-AB headphone amplifier, a high-quality, adjustable MM phono stage, and full remote control functionality.
The Ultrafide ENSO is equipped with a linear toroidal power supply and draws on technology previously showcased in the manufacturer’s U500DC and SP500 power amplifiers. Meanwhile, the preamplifier section includes an OLED screen with remote control, as found on Ultrafide’s U4PRE, alongside ±8dB bass and treble controls designed by Pro Audio industry EQ legend Alex Cooper, the brains behind all Ultrafide product development.
Ultrafide is keen to highlight the ENSO’s send/return pre-out & power-in, which makes the amplifier highly scalable. This feature enables you to operate the unit as standard with passively driven loudspeakers, or switch to a multi-amp/fully active system with external equalisation if desired, offering complete flexibility to enjoy music their way.

Housed in Ultrafide’s customary elegant, minimalist chassis, the ENSO is a standard 17-inch (42 cm) width, making it easy to integrate into any Hi-Fi setup.
Mark Bailey, product specialist at Ultrafide Audio and MC2, told StereoNET:
The ENSO INT-125 is also all about giving listeners flexibility and control, whether they’re running loudspeakers passively, or using external equalisation - ENSO gives the ability to do things your way. Plus, the range will be expanding with complementary products, so watch this space.

Ultrafide will give the ENSO its public debut in Room 314 at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2026 (20–22 February), where it will power Kudos Titan 505 loudspeakers.
The Ultrafide Audio ENSO (INT-125) will retail for £3,500 (inc. VAT).

applause awards
Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.
Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.
The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.
We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
