Jones and Cerreta is a new Los Angeles-based speaker company co-founded by renowned speaker designer, Andrew Jones and brothers Jamie and Bill Cerreta.

Andrew Jones has arguably helped design some of the most important loudspeakers over the last 30 years at KEF, Pioneer, ELAC, and now MoFi Electronics, where he continues to lead loudspeaker design.
Now, as one of the industry’s most respected and technically skilled engineers, he’s launching something new. Jones and Cerreta, a speaker company based in L.A., co-founded by Jones with Jamie and Bill Cerreta, is the first time Andrew Jones (below) has put his own name on a brand.

Launching at AXPONA 2026, Jones and Cerreta starts with a clean slate, targeting design-focused audiophiles seeking great sound and contemporary looks. Unlike his previous work for established brands, this venture positions Jones' signature engineering as the cornerstone of both performance and aesthetics, prioritising music and real listening experience over technical specifications alone.
Jones and Cerreta
Jones and Cerreta bring together engineering, music, and technology to develop new ways to produce, reproduce, and connect listeners with music.

At KEF, Jones worked with concentric drivers and improved TAD’s home audio presence along with the development of the first, and still only, beryllium concentric driver. At ELAC, he helped start the North American division as V.P. of Engineering. This is his first co-founded company.
Jamie Cerreta, President of Peermusic U.S. and Canada, has over 25 years in the music industry.

He has worked with both well-known and up-and-coming artists, such as Ray LaMontagne, My Morning Jacket, and Manchester Orchestra, and has also signed new artists/writers Blake Mills, Ethan Gruska, Weyes Blood, Beach House, FIDLAR, Phoelix, and Lucy Dacus. He also serves on the Executive Board of the National Music Publishers Association S.O.N.G.S. Foundation. His main goal is to connect studio music with listeners.
Bill Cerreta is an electrical engineer with 30 years of experience in Silicon Valley, currently working at Pure Storage. He offers expertise in product development, leadership, and business operations.

He collects records and restores vintage audio, blending technical skill with business management.
New Field-Coil Design
The first speaker from Jones and Cerreta is a floorstanding model tailored for audiophiles who seek high performance and refined aesthetics. While the model name and price remain unannounced, its form factor, upscale design, and target audience make it clear it will take the fight to established high-end loudspeaker brands.

A key feature of this speaker is its concentric driver—continuing Andrew Jones’ work at KEF and TAD—paired with a field coil, both chosen for their advantages, such as improved audio control and enhanced dynamic range. While field coils add cost and complexity, their use signals an intent to deliver exceptional sound and top-tier performance.

Andrew Jones’s use of a field-coil concentric driver in a floorstanding loudspeaker is uncommon, although we recently reviewed a large standmount model from Audio Note that featured a field-coil design, since field coils are typically reserved for horn-loaded or single-driver speakers. This combination in a larger, multi-driver format aims to blend the clarity and immediacy associated with field coils with the scale and presence of a modern floorstander.

As of now, no details on the technical specifications, component materials, or crossover configuration have been released for the new speaker. However, the apparent design and secrecy of other details could well signify that Jones and Cerreta have introduced further novel engineering concepts or technologies.
Jones and Cerreta will debut at AXPONA 2026, held April 10-12 in Chicago, Illinois, with demos in Room 302 throughout the event.

Andrew Jones will also lead a Master Class on April 11 from 5:00 to 5:45 PM in Expo Hall. Titled Reimagining the Dual Concentric Driver, it will share insights into the new design and how it challenges traditional approaches.
UPDATE 13th April 2026: Price rumoured to be US$33,900.
