The SugarCube SC-1 is a clever bit of tech that has been specifically designed to remove the clicks and pops from noisy vinyl. This technology has been pioneered by the rather aptly named SweetVinyl, who is based out of Silicon Valley.
The SC-1 is an all-in-one vinyl noise removal device and the first audiophile-grade product to enable non-destructive click and pop removal from any LP record in real-time. All you need to do is install it in your system and watch it work its magic. According to SweetVinyl, your older records will sound like they’re brand new again.

The aforementioned “magic” comes in the form of a sophisticated, proprietary algorithm that detects, isolates and removes only unwanted noise from the musical performance. With countless records in collections across the world exposed to unavoidable wear-and-tear that cannot be remedied by cleaning, the SC-1 does the job of cleaning the audio you hear to an almost-like-new level, thanks to a specially-developed digital process.
After initiating the 24-bit/192kHz digital clean-up process, you are able to adjust the strength of the process.

The company told StereoNET:
Handled throughout the procedure by only the finest audiophile-grade components available for the price, the audio signal remains tonally unharmed, and retains the space, depth and clarity of the original recording, only removing the unwanted elements of the vinyl record.
Naturally, the SC-1 has a bypass mode which, through a high-quality internal relay, isolates the audio signal from any digital process to ensure you only hear the original audio exactly as you normally would.

As with all the latest tech, you can perform your adjustments remotely via an app (iOS and Android) and the supplied USB fob.
The SugarCube SC-1 is now available in Black or Silver finish and sells for £1,550.
