Sendy Audio's Apollo headphones follow the company's impressive Peacock flagship headphones that impressed us with their comfort as well as "luscious, warm character that delivers plenty of detail".

The Apollo is pitched as a lightweight design (395g) equipped with a 2.68m large diameter diaphragm whilst utilising Sendy Audio's Quad Former Technology that sees the planar magnetic driver doubling up on magnets and coils. This, says Sendy, results in a claimed 20Hz-40kHz frequency response, 95 dB +/- 3dB sensitivity and 16 Ohm +/-15% impedance.

This tech is housed in attractive high-gloss finished rosewood earcups decorated with steel mesh that sports a "sunlight design". However, we are told that the black and nickel meshes are not purely for aesthetics, as the positioning of the holes also tunes the sound.

According to the press release, the headband is made of goatskin, and the earpads are of "high protein materials and memory foam".

The over-ear Apollo come with a 2 metre 6N OCC braided cable and 4.4mm to 3.5mm adapter.
The Sendy Audio Apollo headphones are available now for £429.
