American amplifier ace, Vinnie Rossi has a couple of announcements today. Firstly, the L2i and L2i-SE Signature integrated amplifiers that the company plans to debut at Rocky Mountain Audio Fest. Secondly, the appointment of Mark Sossa of Well Pleased Audio Vida as the company's sales representative for North America, effective as of July 22, 2019.
Vinnie Rossi L2i-SE integrated

The L2i-SE is the result of Vinnie Rossi combining its L2 Signature Preamplifier and L2 Signature Monoblocks into one chassis.
The new L2i-SE integrated is a hybrid design and inherits the L2 Signature pre-amp's single pair of 4-pin direct-heated big power triodes.

Those DHT (direct heated triodes) are run in a dual-mono, Class A, grounded-grid topology with zero feedback. In turn, that feeds a dual-mono Class A/B MOSFET output stage for 100wpc into 8 Ohms. The mainboard will also play host to the L2 Signature pre-amp's optional L2 DAC and phono boards.
Vinnie Rossi claims that all of that makes the L2i-SE a DHT hybrid integrated amplifier and likely the only one of its kind in the world. Now, then; there's confidence.

The L2i-SE promises to make living with valves easier too thanks to its flick-of-a-switch tube rolling, and tube bypass mode, not to mention the full-function L2 remote handset.
Vinnie Rossi L2i integrated
Looking to avoid the expense of big, exotic direct-heated triodes like the 300B or 2A3? According to Vinnie, the L2i will give you the "same flexibility, stunning build quality and appearance – including a large percentage of the Vinnie Rossi Signature Edition sound".

The L2i's gain stage incorporates a single pair of octal 6SN7 small triodes, chosen for the beefier plate structure and as they're tonally far more sophisticated than the 12AX7/6922 alternative.
Again, you get a dual-mono, class-A, grounded-grid circuit with zero feedback feeding a true dual-mono, high-bandwidth class-AB MOSFET output stage.
Price and availability
The L2i-SE is available to order from September 2019 with an MSRP of $18,995. You get a choice of black or silver anodised finishes.
The L2i is also available from September and has an MRSP of $12,995.
The optional L2 Dac and L2 Phonostage modules can be added to either amp for another $3495 each.

Well Pleased
If you're in North America, you can place your orders with Mark Sossa of Well Pleased Audio Vida as he's the new N.A. sales rep.
Vinnie Rossi told StereoNET:
Over the last five years, Mark has demonstrated a tremendous amount of energy and enthusiasm towards the brands that he represents - at various trade shows and working with a strong and growing dealer network that he has established and maintained. His good character, approachability, and long-term vision are exactly what I have been looking for to make the switch from direct sales to a vibrant dealer network, exclusively. We are looking forward to working together.
Mark Sossa added:
I have been keenly watching Vinnie Rossi's products evolve over the last 15 years. He continues to reach higher levels of performance with every product, and each one delivers an innovative design approach, top performance in its price class, and high value. They also garner numerous awards from the press, glowing coverage at trade shows, and a loyal following from his customers. As his company continues to grow, I am excited to be part of his team and bring his designs to a much larger audience.
If you are attending RMAF or Captial Audio Fest, you will be able to catch both Rossi and Sossa as they join forces to show the pair of new integrateds.
