Marantz AV 30 and AMP 30 Join Reference Home Theatre Line

The Marantz AV 30 11.4 preamp and AMP 30 6-channel power amp join Marantz’s reference-quality home cinema portfolio.
The AV 30 11.4-channel AV preamplifier and AMP 30 power amplifier join the enviable stable that already includes the AV 10/AMP 10 and the AV 20/AMP 20.

Naturally, all aspects of the AV 30 and AMP 30’s sound quality have been carefully honed by the Marantz Sound Master to ensure the best possible results with all source components and in all audio modes. Furthermore, both are designed and manufactured at Marantz’s renowned factory, Shirakawa Audio Works, in Japan.
AV 30 and AMP 30 feature a porthole display, fascias with selectable side illumination, and (for AV 30) a fold-down front panel that hides less-used functions, for a clean aesthetic not often found in AV components. The backlit remote ensures effortless operation in dark rooms.
Marantz AV 30

The AV 30 uses a powerful Analog Devices SHARC dual-core DSP chipset and 32-bit DACs for precise audio decoding, supporting formats including Dolby Atmos, IMAX Enhanced, DTS:X, and AURO-3D.
AV 30 combines powerful processing with Audyssey MultEQ XT32, which automatically calibrates speaker sizes, distances, and levels using the included microphone—ensuring optimal sound in any space.

For deeper control, optional Dirac Live, Dirac Bass Control, and Dirac Active Room Treatment (ART) are available. These allow for a fully optimised listening experience with multiple speakers and up to four independent subwoofers.
All seven HDMI inputs support 8K/60Hz or 4K/120Hz, and the intuitive setup interface makes it easy to use.

AV 30 offers both analogue and digital inputs, plus installation-optimised features, making it suitable for media rooms or large home theatres. The discrete HDAM SA-2 preamplifier feeds 11.4 channels via RCA or XLR outputs for flexible system configurations.
Thanks to HEOS, the AV 30 offers a unified experience for the popular streaming services. Supported services include Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Qobuz Connect, AirPlay 2, and Bluetooth.
Marantz AMP 30

AMP 30 is presented as a slim, cool-running, 6-channel power amplifier with 200 watts per channel (8 ohms, 1kHz, THD 0.05 % at two channels driven). You can reconfigure pairs of 200W channels into bridged-tied-load (BTL) outputs, giving up to 3 channels of 400W if needed. Bi-amping up to three speakers is also possible. Both XLR and RCA inputs are included.

AMP 30 is ideal for upgrading the front three speakers in a system based on a CINEMA 30 AVR. It also complements AV 10 or AV 20-based systems. AV 30 buyers can pair the AMP 30 with the 16-channel AMP 10 or the 12-channel AMP 20 as needed. This provides more power and great integration in large home theater systems.

Lyle Smith, President of Sound United at HARMAN, told StereoNET:
The new AV 30 and AMP 30 perfectly represent Marantz’s unwavering commitment to excellence. With their outstanding performance, elegant design, and supreme versatility, the two models are exceptional additions to Marantz’s world-class home theater portfolio.

The new Marantz AV 30 (US$4,000 | €4,000 | £3,500) and AMP 30 (US$4,000 | €4,000 | £3,500) are available from this month.
