Gryphon is preparing to unveil its Gryphon Antileon Revelation, the fifth-generation model in its long-running, high-end power amplifier line, at High End Munich 2025.

Gryphon is sticking with its pure Class A, high current output amplification design, which it has used to significant effect across its ranges previously.

The Antileon Revelation comes in both stereo (165 watts per channel at 8 ohms) and mono (180 watts per channel at 8 ohms) configurations, whilst its chassis design remains familiar with Antileon's strong DNA, easily recognisable.

That said, some aesthetic tweaks have been made for those marking the changes compared to the previous Antileon EVO, such as a new Gryphon emblem on the transformer cover. Meanwhile, Gryphon has fitted its latest proprietary speaker binding posts and dual 20-amp AC inlets on the rear panel.

Revelation, not revolution, is the order of the day with the new Antileon power amplifiers carrying the torch passed on from the Antileon EVO through an apparent focus on performance rather than any drastic changes. Gryphon Audio Designs tells us that,

Revelation advances its predecessors' considerable strengths, boasting thunderous, pitch-perfect bass, more extended and airy trebles and the grainless, palpable, three-dimensional midrange that only pure Class A output circuitry can deliver.

Under the hood of each 84kg, 26x57x60cm (HxWxD) chassis, you will find forty bipolar Toshiba output transistors—components also used in Gryphon's Apex model—and a total of 670,000 μF power supply capacitance (335,000 μF per channel). Two custom 1150VA toroidal transformers handle the audio circuits, while a separate power supply manages the digital control systems.

Gryphon will demonstrate a complete system built around the Antileon Revelation Mono amplifiers in Atrium 4.1, Room E120 at High End Munich, where they will join the Ethos CD/DAC, Commander preamplifier, EOS 5 loudspeakers, PowerZone 3.20 power unit, StandArt equipment racks, and Vanta cables.

The Gryphon Antileon Revelation is priced at €38,800 / US$45,500 per chassis, with availability expected from mid-August 2025.
