Sonus faber has apparently packed a significant amount of its expertise into the 4.5-way Amati Supreme to achieve "exceptional performance in a beautifully compact floor-standing silhouette."

Integrating the Voice of Sonus faber from Suprema promises that the speaker delivers reference-level acoustic performance, complementing and elevating its elegant form.

A transparent Y-shaped window at the top of the Amati Supreme enables you to see into the heart of its engineering, offering a glimpse of the mid-high crossover section as well as a nod to the harmony between technology and design.

Meticulous attention to detail extends within each 62kg, 1176x411x512mm [HxWxD] lute-shaped enclosure, housing a driver system formed of a 38mm silk dome tweeter and 20mm super tweeter, ensuring exceptional high-frequency clarity, and the brand's signature 165mm Camelia midrange unit provides refined control of the critical mid-high frequencies. These elements are mounted on a CNC-machined aluminium flange and enclosed in a cork structure, engineered to optimise airflow and frequency response.

Meanwhile, low-frequency performance is achieved by a pair of 220mm woofers, which brings the total claimed frequency response to 28 Hz – 40,000 Hz, with crossover points at 30, 300, 1,800, and 5,600 Hz. Sensitivity is specified as 91 dB SPL (2.83 V/1 m), and the nominal impedance is 4 Ohms.

Sonus faber proclaims 600W of undistorted output capacity, enabling the Amati Supreme to deliver the "dynamic range and realism needed to capture both the power and intimacy of a live performance."

Furthermore, an innovative fine-tuning mechanism, subtly integrated into the rear panel, allows you to adjust the mid-high and mid-bass output for optimal integration into any listening space.

Livio Cucuzza, Chief Design Officer of Sonus faber, told StereoNET:
Amati Supreme is the embodiment of our belief that design and sound are inseparable. Every element was chosen not only to shape how the speaker sounds, but to ensure it's every bit as beautiful to see as it is to hear. It is our most complete expression of craftsmanship, innovation and Italian artistry to date.

Tuning is carried out by Sonus faber's master technicians, who rely on their discerning ears along with instinct, experience, and emotion, so we are informed.
The Amati Supreme is available in two carefully selected matte metal finishes: Sabbia Oro, a luminous and warm neutral, and Terra Rossa, a bold, earthy red. Sonus faber highlights that this is a first for the brand, as the finish wraps the entire cabinet, including the front baffle.

Available from September 2025, the Sonus faber Amati Supreme has an MSRP of £75,000 | €78,000 | US$78,000.
